Ask them for a photo easy to see on a ramp, I took a pic of mine after they fitted it just to keep a record of repairs.

Hi just checked today 2weeks 900 miles and no leak after breather fitted .so will now add to poll.

Some one else must of had the breather fitted by now and should have an idea if it worked or not, Mine was fitted 12 days ago and still no sign of leaks?.

Nearside but will jackup both sides next time to make it easier trust me if it leaks you will se it. To be fair to come up with a bodge sorry solution and design/manufacture/and supply in 2 weeks ain't bad. I would like to see other manufacturers do better. Been in the motor trade...

No need to take undertray off you can get your hand up between it and the subframe just a pig finding a place for a torch ?

Yes I jacked the car up and laid underneath it you can see the pipe and just about get your phone up near it to take a picture. Cheers Baz

Took the car back on Monday 17/10/2022.left with dealer to check leak and carry out oil drain and refill. They then road tested car for 2 days and leak re appaired. Given MG5 courtesy car. Left car to await MG response. New breather pipe fitted on Thursday 10/11/2022.collected car on Friday...

correct why would anyone carry on driving a car with an oil leak that they have just paid £26 -£32,000 pounds for. Oil on brakes or tyres then becomes your problem in an accident!!!!

nope didn't work on mine still leaked. Waiting for new breather.

The part ( it is neither the cause nor the solution to the problem ) gets me so what is the solution.

been there done that has not worked for most people, unless they are trying a different grade of oil !!!

MY theory only. Petrol/diesel engine turns at 1000 rpm Gearbox gears turn at 500rpm in first 15mph at wheel Gearbox gears turn at 500rpm in 2nd 30mph at wheel and so on. So this shows that the oil is dispersed around the gearbox at the same rate regardless of speed.A normal gearbox is larger...

Totally agree got too be more than just overfill shame I sold my zs ev as I would just reject it ,now I will lose out money wise

Is this issue only on UK models
