The white circle with the black diagonal is the National Speed limit sign (you should know that) it’s flashing as you are over 60mph which for some reason the car thinks is the speed limit for all National Speed Limit roads even though it’s 60 or 70 depending on road (50 if your towing)
Check the label on 1 end. Or the writing on the wire itself. If it’s 16/32amp 1 phase or the wire says 3 x 6mm² + 2 x 0.5mm² then the most you will get from an 11kW unit is 3.6-3.7kW. You will need a 32amp 3 phase to get 7-11kW. (5 x 6mm² + 2 x 0.5mm²).
With an iPhone you can have 2 or more navigating at the same time but they all only show the map on the car’s screen the phone screen just shows worded directions for each app. You can easily switch which one is displayed on the car’s screen though.
So have your company setup screen time to limit apps? If not there’s no way to disable CarPlay. What if you use another cheap iPhone for maps and Bluetooth for calls.
I did a similar thing last week and £12k was about the price. 2 year old Trophy 30k miles. It’ll be going back at the end of the PCP. As they guarantee £14k final price. It’s a lot to do with them Discontinuing the MG5 in favour of the new MG4 estate coming soon and clearing all remaining stock...
Seeing as it’s 10kW I’m assuming it’s done over CCS As the v2l is only upto 7kW and does involve manually turning it on in the car first. CCs does have direct control of the battery so would be easier to implement. It would mean a much bigger and costly charger though.
You need to open a New iSMART account first on the second device then invite that account through the primary account. I did it without the need to bind any cars to the second account.
It sounds like it thinks the key is in the boot. If I lock the car with the boot open and leave my key in the boot and then shut it, it pops open again as it senses the key. Try holding the key further away from the car next time you do that.
Hi. This was the email I received from pevencey/eastborne MG where I have had my 5 serviced. I’ll have to use Brighton now as it’s the closest alternative.
Hi. It sounds like the charger for a while was only working or set at 11kW which would explain why your 1-Phase 32A cable was only 3.6kW and the Tesla’s 3-Phase 32A was getting you 11kW.
with mine he had to manually search for my car on the SAIC site and download any updates to a USB to plug into the car. Seems updates don’t just show up without looking.
The CCU update was done as it was a Recall issue list but only as I mentioned it. I probably wouldn’t have got the MCU update if my radio wasn’t playing up.
On my MG5 I had the CCU recall update and that sorted Tesla charging. I’ve also had the MPU and MCU updated to try and sort a radio/carplay issue (didn’t). My service guy said MG Won’t do any updates unless it’s to resolve an issue.
