so your journey on the way out is more downhill than uphill but you start with a 100% battery, possibly too cold anyway for maximum regen, which means you are possibly missing out on a trick here whereby charging only to 80% before your outward journey.

The closer you get to 0% the more accurate the GoM is.
The GoM uses the built in factory figures, adjusted by the latest measures SoH, the total accumulated mileage, and the consumption in the last 50miles. In different proportions. This is known as weighting.

i would hope latest updates have the required bug fix. For now there appears to be a workaround which is as mentioned above, to disable welcome lights (at least, since that was suggested, no one of those who changed the setting has reported the bug reoccurring)
This used to be the case at some charging stations a year or two ago. Most likely due to software compatibility back then.

Now I see. Yeah that had happened to me with the stock tyres. Never happened again since I put the new tyres on.
But I personally didn’t think of it as a sudden regen stop; to my mind sudden regen stop means ‘out of the blue for no apparent reason’ as opposed to ‘because the wheels lost...

Not so uncommon for cars to catch fire but being the first one reported on this forum afaik it’s worth having mg to investigate.
May I suggest @Kimiko and @neeti - take a picture of the accelerator pedal and the area surrounding it. It might be something stuck like the carpet or something.
