    Turn off lane assist?

My car went in to dealer on Monday (for an unrelated fault) and they did the LKA update. What a difference!! I feel it is actually beneficial to have it activated now, whereas before it was bordering on dangerous sometimes. The yank on the wheel is just a gentle nudge now, and it bleeps to alert...

    DVLA EV Tax

So we should all renew our tax before the end of March, which will give us 11+ months free :=)

New Owner - Rumbling Noises and Software Glitches

I too have a trophy ER, bought new last December. I've had many of these problems too (and more besides), booked it into local dealer mid January for a fault with the heated seats, earliest they could manage was 10th March, but in the interim more problems have arisen including radio crashing...

Looking forward to MG4 Trophy ER coming Thursday

Yes, if you're on an EV or cheap overnight tariff. I'm with OVO and pay 7p/kWh for EV charging. All I did was add the 'Charge anytime' Bolt-on (free) to my account when I got the car and had a wall charger fitted. Instead of £40-50/week in my old ICE car I now pay less than a fiver :=)

    MG4 front brake pads (aftermarket)

Having read recent posts about the availability of (or lack of) MG4 brake pads, I see GSF car parts have these listed. I entered my reg for a Trophy ER and it shows these as being compatible. I assume the picture is a generic btw. Certainly a much better price than the £260 Brown & gammons want!

MG4 Boot Base Board Broken – Replacement Cost?

'I’ve asked my local MG garage, but they’ve been useless at getting back to me with a price.' ...unbelievable! Simply don't deserve to stay in business. Yes plywood would be a great material, and thin self adhesive carpet like matting (the likes of what is used when doing a campervan conversion)...

For Trade MG4 Xpower wheels for swap

I'd be up for a swap too, Dec 2024 ER, 2300 miles. Only problem is I'm in Lancashire... ... Thinking about it, it wouldn't cost much to drive down/up. If you're definitely looking to do a swap, please contact me so we can arrange.

Looking forward to MG4 Trophy ER coming Thursday

I think you'll be glad you chose the ER (compared to other versions), I get a solid 250+ winter miles, only got car in December so can't speak of summer miles yet but would expect 300+. What wasn't immediately apparent when reading magazine reviews is that the ER is quite a bit quicker than the...

    Touch up paint

You could email them, if they are willing it may cost very slightly more maybe? It might be worth looking if they list on eBay or Amazon, often the postage is sorted through the platforms.

    Touch up paint

...PaintNuts have it, they just need the paint code from the VIN plate. In touch-up pens, small 50ml bottles and rattle cans too. 50ml bottle ordered :=) Thanks Rolfe

    Touch up paint

That's good news. Hopefully one of the aftermarket paint touch up firms will start producing little touch up pots for stone chips and the like.

    Touch up paint

'MG don't supply paints' -if this is true, have we just bought throwaway cars? It seems every part query I read about seems to suggest there are no available parts, even service parts the likes of which we can get from dealers, motor factors (even Halfords!) for just about any other brand...

    MG4 Trophy Wireless charging (iphone)

It's worrying that the charging pad design got past the initial sketch, maybe the designer was working his notice (or for a competitor)

    MG4 Trophy Wireless charging (iphone)

Same thing here, if you fiddle with position it will work (until you turn a corner and the phone moves). Making me think if I bought a cheap magsafe phone case, removed the circular magnet and attached it to the charging mat in the correct position it would help keep the phone positioned- it...

Probably won’t get an MG4 again

At this moment I don't think I would either, and I've only had mine two months. First month was amazing, all the good points ie quick, smooth, good handling, good looks (and good price), I wasn't worried about the little cost cutting things like no rear interior light, wired carplay, mirrors not...
