I am having the same nil return from MG. Revs calming down a bit.

It's dead in the water like a ton of bricks if you are overtaking on a two lane reducing to one with traffic behind you with urgency to follow the same manoeuvre and on a long hill or gradient! That is not safe and dangerous to all.....the Hybrid battery runs too low.....!

Time to contact. "Rogue Dealers" on the One Show apparently. This requires as many of us as possible Needs forethought. Anyone else with a suggestion?

I hapily concur with what you have said. It is a bigger battery and when full you can get formula1 buzz out of it at high speed just on battery but after 3 mins max back to empty and very empty. The other Hybrids can scream at you as if to say don't push me at the moment but they don't leave you...

There might be something to do with the special oil in a sealed unit which has something to do with the gears. Mine went wrong on day 1 of driving. Lights,warnings on dash board they sent AA out roadside assist. Some have said not enough or too much oil in box. Cogs to do with gears get flooded...

It's Sh1T it's such a good car except for this problem which Australia in higher temperatures is having too. When you say MG is trying to sort a fix is that the dealer or MG head office in Birmingham that has acknowledged that?

I think the hybrid battery depletes too far. 20% or so isn't enough. Other Hybrids don't let the battery go that far down. Hence high revs I guess??

OK. Hi, there are some tips and tricks to Hybrids esp if you are not too familiar with them. If the hybrid battery is low the engine will rev to refill it. If you are stealing power from the engine for Heater and AC it has to work harder. For gradients and hills choose Sport mode . Regen 1,2 or...
