Hi. Perhaps I confused you with my reply re Solution. Edited it to make more clearer. The USB cable might have triggered the USB failure message in the first place. Just for clarity, no devices were left overnight connected.
The message "USB disk identification failure" popped up a couple of weeks ago when loading the display. As some users mentioned earlier, I believe it was something to do with me using USB cable. Not 100% sure though. This is the first time it happened as I've had my MG4 LR Trophy since October...
I've got exactly the same issue after the update on my Trophy. No weather recognition - to activate head unit. The sat nav seems to be working after accepting Ts&Cs in the settings -> privacy menu.
I am experiencing a similar issue - the loud squealing when braking at a low speed <10mph. It has started at about 4k mileage and have gotten worse at around 5k mileage. I guess it could be a rust or a chip/stone. The dealer should be able to advise. Got an appointment next month.
