Are you looking at the front suspension which does appear to be McPherson strut. The explanation is referring to the rear suspension which is a five link setup.
£606 for an mg4 SE SR, I'm 73 with full no claims living in Cheshire. Was 50% more than my previous petrol car in the same insurance group. Insurance companies are ripping everybody off in my opinion.
Unfortunately there is no detail about the software update other than it has been applied to the BCM, they stated all settings have been lowered for lane assist, tested and all driving smoothly. Next time I'm out in the car I will check the cruise control to see if it increments one mph with a...
That would be great if the car managed to read the traffic speed signs unfortunately in the UK there are not enough of them space correctly and you could end up speeding in the 30 limit because the last reading was perhaps 50 miles an hour.
Thanks again for your reply the dealer loaned me an MG 3 which I drove approximately 20 miles on various roads. This did not miss a beat regarding lane keep assist in fact looking at the lane edges display on the car it seemed to be able to see much more than on the MG4. Maybe the reason they...
Thanks for your fast response and sorry I did mean to say BCM not BMS. So there is no way to determine if this update has been applied other than it fixing the problems?
Just had my first service on MG4 SE SR MY23 and mentioned the usual issues regarding phantom braking and lane keep assist. When I got my bill it stated software to the BMS had been updated, I had checked this before taking it in and it showed as R21 on looking again after the service it is still...
Thanks for your reply and I appreciate this is how it is meant to be but I'm looking for a hack. Something like providing 12 volts onto a connector in the boot to signal there is no tow bar installed every time car is put in reverse, identifying which connector pin is the difficulty.
I use tow mode without a towbar constantly the main thing I miss is the rear distance detectors. It would be great if somebody knew how to re-enable them whilst in tow mode. Any suggestions?
Hi anybody know the location of the rear reverse sensor control module is on the MG4 SE SR. I read somewhere that it was under the left hand lining in the boot but I have disconnected the two modules there and the reverse sensors are still working.
