    iSmart Route Planner

Yeh, annoying! I've just been experimenting to find the easiest way of planning a route (not using the car's sat nav) and then getting it to the car. The simplest method I've found is to plan the route in Google maps (I use a PC for this for convenience) and then use Android Auto (I assume...

    iSmart Route Planner

Am I being dumb, or does the iSmart app no longer have route planning options? If so, where? I'm sure it used to when I had my MG4. Whether its any good or not is another question!

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

I must admit, I've never seen the point of one pedal driving. What effort is it to simply pivot your right foot from the accelerator to the brake? Surely, relying so much on regen braking will emphasise that one big downside to regeneration - brakes corroding due to not enough use? Apologies to...

    IM5 Alloy Wheels

I can't think of any. The only obvious external differences, if there were any, would be the in the wheels and badges, and so far as I know they are the same on both models.

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

Bit late to respond to this, but I do have a rattle in the boot area, and it's not anything moving around in there. I suspect the boot lid is not seating fully so I'm gradually unscrewing the bump stops out in an attempt to solve the issue. No luck yet, but the boot still closes ok so I may have...

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

To be honest, even though I've only done mostly short trips, with probably a couple of 100 mile motorway journeys thrown in, I've never seen less than 3.2 at any time.

    Ceramic coating

I had mine coated a month ago, including full glass and interior protection from ABC Detailing in Thornbury, near Bristol. My previous MG4 was ceramic coated by them and was mistaken for new (See here)

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

This is the part I'm having trouble getting my head around. As I mentioned, I can open the door on the key, then, if I do nothing (i.e. I can put the key down near the car, or stand there, next to the car, with the key in my hand), and after around a minute or so, the car locks itself. However...

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

Is it the keys that have "gone to sleep" or the car? Certainly, if I unlock my car on the key and then don't open the door, after a minute or so the car re-locks itself. When you say there is no response to signals until it has moved, do you mean the key being moved? Do you have to move out of...

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

Hmmm, I'll have to try this again. I did read the relevant manual section, but for some reason when I set the mirrors to the same angle in reverse gear as I have in forward gear, when re-selecting forward gear the mirrors tilt to the original reverse gear position!!

    IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

Hi Miles, As others have also said, this may be too late, but.... Is it possible to override the door mirror deflection when selecting reverse please? I, for one, find it more of a nuisance than a benefit when reversing around a corner!!

    Speed warning system

Just realised - I should have said: ".....just a heads up though regarding V2L. It's Vehicle to Load (V2L), not to Vehicle to Grid (V2G) so you can run appliances from the V2L adaptor/cable but....."

    Speed warning system

Just a heads up though regarding V2L. It's Vehicle to Load, not to Vehicle to Load so you can run appliances from the V2L adaptor/cable but definitely NOT to power the home. That requires phase matching and a common ground amongst other things!!

IM6/IM5 Switching off the beeps and bongs from ADAS quickly.

Tap to enter "Settings > General > Custom Keys" on the central screen and you can set the custom button on the steering wheel to bring up the ADAS screen. I just have to press the right hand steering wheel button and confirm on the central screen.

Pet mode / Internal Alarm Off

"Pet Mode" does indeed get a mention (and that's all) in the manual along with "Nap Mode", but it seems we, in the UK at least, just get the "Nap Mode" and "Rainy Night Mode" which are configured from 'Scene Mode' on the App List (third icon from the right on the central screen display )
