I'm looking forward to the beginning of December when it looks to be a busy time! The first MOT and third service is due on the MG4 and the PCP agreement finishes on it at the same time. Due to the negative equity on it, it'll be being returned to the bank, much to the chagrin of Mrs Sloucher...

Whoooops, I have had to edit the post, as I'd mistakenly said I test drove the IM6. I meant to say IM5 🫣, sorry about that. However, most of my observations would probably be true for both, as they seem so similar.

BTW, when calculating financial figures, if you're buying new from a dealer don't forget to factor in delivery charge, first registration fee, ev fueling charge(!) and 12 month road fund licence, depending on the deal you can work out (y)

Strangely enough, no it didn't feel big at all. It was remarkably easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces, presumably due to the rear wheel steering, which you don't really notice the rest of the time. I did remark to the salesman at the time that the turning circle was akin to that of a London taxi...

I wonder if this is the same issue I get with my phone. When it can't see a signal, it gets very hot because it's using a lot of power searching for a signal. Could be a similar issue with the MG4 12v battery 🪫 🤔

Right, had a phone call from Drive North, Bristol today - booked in for a test drive of the IM5 tomorrow. I'm led to believe that the demonstrator is a 100 LR, which is the model that is my main interest. I'll report back my impressions (y)

Had my MG4 for 3 years almost and never even knew there was a speed limiter🙄. Other than cruise control that is! Even if I'd known about it, there's no way would I enable speed limit sign control! Far too unreliable sign reading!

I don't know if there's a setting to mute that but in mine it just flashes the speed limit indication, no sound effect accompaniment.

In that case, maybe a school zone. Mine certainly "bong"s every time I approach our local schol, whether a route is set or not and I was sure it did it for the speed camera I pass most days.
