Same for me, iSmart works, but activation doesn't!
yes, the same for me
Yes I would assume you'd be correct and putting other versions than the official releases for each product always has a risk of something not working as intendedHello friends,
I don't fully comprehend most of the posts here but I love seeing the enthusiasm on display. I do have a question though that those who understand the software better might be able to help me with.
Hi (speedometer accuracy)
Has anyone had the car tell you you're going faster than you are? I have been past the flashing lights that tell you your speed when passing them. Three of them all said I'm going 23 mph, but whinny car is telling me I'm doing 28. Has anyone got anything to say? What I can do about this?www.mgevs.com
In the above thread both SE and Trophy owners report that their speedo appears to be spot on. However, SE and Trophy run different wheels and more importantly different overall diameter sized wheels. Is it possible that the software for each edition is calibrated differently? Would installing the Trophy software on an SE throw out the speedometer a bit, with the software assuming the car has different wheels?
I know the difference isn't massive, and just about within normal margins when buying different rims/tyres, but I'm just surprised both cars appear to show speed very accurately. Especially towards 60 mph the difference should be more discernible. If the software is the same, the Trophy should be underreading a little bit, but I find it doesn't.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this.
Yes, I believe that the various models get different software, and in some cases different module firmware. Though something like speedometer calibration could be settings data (I forget the correct term: parameters maybe?). It's also possible that the speedometer gets calibrated against GPS speed. But I imagine that they still need a roughly correct scale factor from either software or parameter data to start with.Is it possible that the software for each edition is calibrated differently?
It depends on how they've implemented it, sorry.Would installing the Trophy software on an SE throw out the speedometer a bit, with the software assuming the car has different wheels?
Right, but other ECU firmwares, or their parameter data, might vary from model to model, and so wrong software or firmware could possibly cause a speedometer inaccuracy. Granted, FICM (infotainment) software probably doesn't have anything to do with the speed readout. There is usually an instrumentation ECU, I think.FICM updates modify the entertainment system’s operating system but do not affect other ECUs, which remain unchanged.
Yea I did mention to them but this was 4pm yesterday so I don't think we'll get a reply until gone 30thI tried it again this afternoon, same error message as yesterday. Will the email to MG or saic help? I'm still hoping it's a server problem and that it will work again tomorrow or the day after.

Some services seem to be down…
Maybe someone can test this with a VDI device (@haloweenhamster ) to see if the next step with SIPS is really necessary?
Good morning. where did you get the update file?I do the SNAKP23 Update only with USB and all Looks for me Fine.
But i get the R63 for two week from the Dealer but the Car was still on SNAKP21.
After the tbox Update I have still Connection via the App to the Car and nothing Shows broken without the SIPS Update.
