I have an MG4 Excite MY24 and I cannot find the button or setting to recirculate air for when I am stuck behind a diesel truck. Help please.
On the centre infotainment screen tap the top centre where it shows the AC temperature etc. and it will bring up the heating controls.

Pull down from the middle of the top of the infotainment screen. It'll be one of the buttons there, it looks like a little SUV.

Honestly? It’s in the A/C screen. Icon looks like the image on the left, tap it until it changes to the image on the right:

Back to range. Remember my issue was regular trips from Perth to Busselton with a small battery Excite 51. You'll be pleased to know that despite strong head winds, air con all the way and sitting on 110 kms/hr most of the way(215 kms) I got there with 30% battery still remaining. Didn't raise a sweat at any stage. No range anxiety here.
I've since done 3 more trips with similar results. Reasonably priced home chargers with solar support work a treat meaning very cheap motoring in a car I love to drive.

Couldn’t agree more…I’m almost never using public chargers.

Thanks for the Aussie 51 range test, certainly sounds like it will do the Mannum - Adelaide - Mannum trip on a single charge from the solar array. The regen going into Adelaide is good, but I'm guessing it will use a lot getting back up the big hill going home

How was your experience charging in Busselton? It always struck me as odd it has only one charger considering it's a popular destination.

I've done Perth to Bunbury in my 51, similar results to you, no anxiety on range, and Bunbury has heaps of charging options (I used the RAC/Chargefox - a bit slower but a good price at 36c/kWh and right in town).

Our New Yr isn't for another 15 mins here in South Australia, central time is 30 mins behind the east coast time .... Qld is going to be celebrating 1999 again this yr, the still haven't accepted day light saving. The premier at the time thought the sun shone out of his a*se and he wasn't getting up an hr early for anyone ;) :ROFLMAO:

Happy New Yr to those in NZ that are probably in bed by now, to the east coast that are having last drinks, the Qlders that have another 25 yrs and 35 mins to go and the West Aussies who don't celebrate it for another few hrs yet, and those in the Northern Territory who have to wait another hr from it to be official, but they probably have been celebrating since around lunch time .... they party hard up that way

Ok. HAPPY NEW YEAR. To our Aussie friends. Whenever it might be. One thing for sure, it's before us. 🙄🤪

We are just trial running it for you, just to make sure it doesn't vibrate and all the wine in the front is gone ;)
Have a good one when it finally gets to be your turn, it's dropped to around 20°C here at the moment, so everyone is looking for jumpers etc so they can head out to the vehicle in the cold night air ......
The town puts on a great fireworks display every New Yrs and this one was no exception, but no doubt we will still have them going off around the neighbourhood till the sun comes up  They will all be sitting around fires trying to keep warm

Happy New Year to all, we didn’t watch the fireworks and went to bed at 11pm. But we did get to sit on our back verandah and watch a couple of pairs of Wedgetailed Eagles cruising around on the easterly that took the edge off the day's heat. Fortunate that these magnificent birds call our river valley home, they didn’t seem to be hunting, just circling around in the breeze…brilliant!

I took the scenic route Sydney to Melbourne in my MG4 77 electric car, DC fast charging only on Tesla Superchargers, to show that a non-Tesla Long Range EV can travel the Hume Highway with no charging stress and this route doesn't have to be a boring 1 day drive.

Full Details:
  • Load: 2 passengers + full boot holiday luggage incl Braumach spare wheel
  • One Pedal Driving ON, Temperature 30-40°C, Air conditioning ON 22°C, Tyres 42 PSI
  • Lots of Stats: charging speed live recordings and full charging costs for each stop
