Windscreen replacement woes

It was hit by a stone and there was a small mark at the time which I would have thought could have been repaired, however it developed into a larger crack and upon contacting AG, a full windscreen replacement was needed. Upon visual inspection since the initial impact it has indeed worsened.
Thanks for explaining. That's bad luck, could happen to anyone. Hope you have a good experience getting it fixed.

I just got my new MG4 3 months ago.. and well. The picture shows what happened.

I'll let you guys know how long it takes in the Netherlands at Carglass (same as Autoglass in the UK)

Replying to myself here. Just to let you guys know. My windshield is being replaced this Friday the 3rd of januari. They have them in stock en could have even done it sooner. So very happy to hear that news. So a replacement time of 3 working days was available. Not bad at all I should say.

That's not bad service for this time of year, I hope it all goes well tomorrow.

Just make sure they don't use a metal scraper to remove any old adhesive on the windscreen frame. If they do, it will be at high risk of developing rust that you won't see until it's too late.
