Charge flap / door alignment

When it is closed the top edge of the charge flap is proud of the bodywork such that it would be quite easy for a malicious person to get fingers behind it and yank it out and damage it in the process. It also seems to be a bit unreliable on closing / opening. The bottom edge is similarly slightly recessed vs the surrounding bodywork.
I heard one of the podcast participants say something similar and this morning I went to the dealership to see the mechanics. Of the 3 other Cybersters at the showroom, the demonstrator had a similar if not slightly worse issue but the two showroom ones were much better aligned.
It seems like a relatively minor but annoying common issue. What is yours like?
The mechanics took pictures and are going to consult with MG by the way. They agreed it wasn’t quite right.

The successful answer to this problem involves judicious use of a hot air gun and very careful application of appropriate force to very carefully reshape the plastic flap. It's a very common issue with lots of cars with thermoplastic flaps these days. They can "settle" back a little over time after initial assembly, no longer matching body lines. I've reworked them before on other cars. Not something anyone without experience should be trying though. (and that will unfortunately include almost all dealer staff!)

Any update on fixing this yet please ?
 
No not yet although car booked into dealer mid Jan to investigate further and look at passenger window stickiness issue.
Now when I gently close the flap the “pin” on the flap misses the hole into which it is supposed to go (pin is too low) which I think relates to the same misalignment of the closed flap with surrounding bodywork.
