MG iSMART - secondary account

Successfully bound my phone to the car the day we got it a couple of weeks ago. Time to set up a secondary account for the Navigator. Asked her to install MG iSMART on her phone and "register", but the process seems to demand that she bind her phone to the car.

My understanding is that only one phone can be bound to the vehicle.
Are we missing something, or doing something wrong ?

I think you have to "invite" her.

I fired my Navigator, Google maps is much more reliable and you can also mute it ...

Apparently: "Yes you can have the app for your car on two phones however they both can't connect to the car at the same time. You will need to share the same login details across both devices. The car will remember the device last connected."

Let us now how it goes.

@subfiver - the car is bound to an account, not to an individual phone. Another person can access the account using the same log in details, but this will log out the other.

Hopefully, further updates to the iSMART app will permit simultaneous access.

If you set up a secondary account (nb dont try and bind it to the car) and then invite that account as a family member they can also be logged in at the same time as the primary account and use preheat etc. Have the primary account on one phone eg of a main driver and the secondary account on another phone eg of a spouse, partner or whoever also regularly drives the car.
