My iSmart app has stopped working on my Google Pixel phone for some reason - anyone else having any problems?
It's not updated since 16th January, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, logged out and logged in several times all to no avail.
I don't want to unbind the car (it might not work anyway) in case it won't bind again... Anyone have any suggestions or know of this being an issue

Pixel 8a on android 16 beta and working fine for me. I only had one issue on Android 15 a few weeks ago where I had to accept the privacy notice again, but you have to do it in the car. I think I had to bind it again too.

Thanks for the replies.
I unbound the car this morning but now can't rebind it. I follow the instructions to rebind it on the app and car I get to the QR code scan part but the app won't complete the scan, it stops scanning about a 3rd of the way down the screen then turns off so would appear to be an app (or phone) issue.
Deleted and re-installed the app but doesn't make any difference!!
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful... Ta

Did you give the ismart app camera permissions? You may have denied it accidentally. Go to settings, apps,mg ismart and see if your have all the permissions checked for camera, photos and nearby devices.

Thanks for the reply, yes id double checked the permissions as I thought that too and everything is allowed on on the app, again thanks for the suggestion.

Another thing to try, other than the obvious to delete Bluetooth connections on phone and car, clear cache on the apps. Also in settings, apps, pixel camera service, look for the option to open by default, open supported links and see if you have in app selected.

I'll try figure all that out, thank you.
Bizarrely the QR reader on my phone reads the code on the car but doesn't take it any further presumably because the app needs the pin code so it's just weird that the iSmart app reader won't do it!!
Until I can sort it I'll just have to go out in a morning to turn the heater on instead of doing from the warmth of the house... First world problems eh!!!!!

Hello.
It's an Android security issue with Android 15 and at lease Pixel phones. There's a thread here : iSmart App Crash Google Pixel 9 Fold

My advice: use another phone to bind iSMART or just log in with yours credentials if you have a Trophy (mail + password or phone number + password)
Thank you for the link to the other thread, that's exactly the problem I'm having so I'll try bind using another device if I can find one.
Mine's an SE and logging in didn't make any difference unfortunately.

I had the same problem and as Mouss said binding on another phone (Samsung phone worked) then I can log in on my pixel. Very helpful.

Thanks for that, I bound the car using an iPhone at work but that the information on the app was still stuck at 16/1 so its almost like the car isn't transmitting any information rather than the app not working.. but who knows

I've been having alot of trouble with the app server (from China?) being unavailable for the last few days. It could be the actual server side isn't available so it's not connecting ... maybe?
