Parking Buttons

The only time I've used the EPB button is to release it manually if the car is parked on an incline/decline. Normally, on a flat surface, putting the selector into Drive also releases the EPB. But I've found that it doesn't release on an incline/decline until you press the accelerator. I like to hold my foot on the brake and manually release the EPB.
+1. That's how we use it. It can make for a smoother and more controlled start when starting off downhill on a steep or slippery hill.

On the car are two buttons - a big one with R N D and a smaller one to the right.
Since we've had the car, we park up, hit the big button on the left and walk away from the car.
When do we use the smaller button to the right with a P on it?
What is it for?

I've read the manual and still haven't got a clue.

Thanks
Never, if you are like me.

I never use either of the parking buttons.

I just press the on/off button. The green light goes off and I exit the car. The parking braking seems to take care of itself.
You have an on / off button? What do you drive? I'm not aware of one in the MG4EV SE SR at least.

No it doesn't, but on the infotainment select the car menu (bottom right of screen) then the safety tab, and there is a red button on the screen "Power off". Not quite on/off, but if you select this while still in drive, the car goes into park, and then powers down.
But if you power off in this way the power comes back on if you lift your bum and resettle having for example forgotten to reach over for your hat! Freaky. Never bother on the whole!

I treated myself yesterday.
I was in a queue where we weren't moving so I tried to put my brake on Autohold but for some reason didn't work so I pulled up the EPB :)
Is auto hold on in the menus ? I think it is under a tab called safety.

Also if you turn on OPD, Autohold is turned on regardless.
