Funniest greeting message

Mine greets me with the right time “1st January 2019” for about 50% of the starts. The rest get the date and time right. An interesting problem for the programmers to sort out.

I've only just activated that, so you say it does get it right sometimes ?

Yes, but having now deactivated it won’t stop.

hold down the home button for 10 secs it go away after resetting the system.

Mine got the date right first thing this morning, then reverted back to Jan 2019 on restarting the car.

It occurred to me that the 2019 date might arise when Apple Car Play is on from the start so since Monday Ive waited for start up to complete without plugging in the phone. Its got the date right every time so far

Mine's not connected to the phone at all, by wire or bluetooth, and it still gets it wrong 8 out of 10 times.

Is the 10 second home button reset just a reboot which doesnt alter any other settings?

As posted in the original "custom greeting messages" thread some of my go to ones I set up at night for the entertainment of my better half in the morning are:

I can't remember fir sure, without going down to the garage, but isn't it a setting in the weather forecast pane? I'll check a bit later..
Edited 11:29. Try the weather pane, upper right cog wheel for settings. Then turn on "Weather Broadcast". I think that includes the date & time.
If it's not that then it's under the Voice settings in the main settings menus.

Mine is I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that, but it really needs Hal's voice.

I'm just revisiting the scene on YT, and will shortly move to hiding behind the lounge. Hal terrified me as a kid.

And if I have someone in the car I then press the accelerator and go "Whoa!!!"
