Thanks Aaron, will do. Bought one of those neat little 12v battery back-up things, just in case. Seems a worthwhile investment considering the potential problems 12v battery can give rise to.
And there was 10 months between car manufacture and me taking delivery as "new". Who knows what problems that may cause with the battery or what actions they take to ensure it doesn't?
I'm going to do the same mate, that was one of the suggestions on the MG4 facebook group I joined. Defo worth having I reckon,the little Noco ones look good. I think a Bosch battery is around £100 so will let you know how we get on after service/update.
 
There's recommendations on here somewhere for replacing them with different battery tech ( can't remember the type) as they're not required to crank ice motors. There's something far more reliable that lasts longer.... I'll see if I can find the reference.
