MG4 X-Power Orders & Delivery

I was looking out of an upstairs window at the car, it's wider than I originally thought. And brighter - that white is astonishingly white!

I don't think I've ever driven a car that lurches forward so eagerly. A little slower to 60 than my Tesla but it feels like it would easily beat it to 30 and probably 40. The XP is certainly more fun to drive. Just a shame you have to mess about so much with the settings before taking it out anywhere, it's fun but also really bloody annoying!

And I'm having trouble getting it to connect to any network so I can bind it to the iSmart app. Has a full 4g signal but just complains there's no network. Looks like some troubleshooting ahead of me. Pfft.

Good thing it's fun to drive :)

@Bricktop X PWR will say you're not driving it correctly. ;)

Been getting ready to reclaim the top spot since last year, but I seemingly have an unbeatable time.

Welcome to the wonderful world of ZX Spectrum software, it's definitely amongst the poorest out there.

Hopefully by the time they come round to a proper new version of the MG4 the software is considerably better

Wife has had a trophy for well over a year, luckily it's a company fleet car. In that time it has been riddled with all sorts of bugs and issues, add onto that all the issues with the safety systems and the faffing about when you get in it, she can't wait to get rid of it.
I have a Born and a relative has a Megane etech and the software doesn't even compare, OTA updates, driver profile picks and jump straight in and drive, no disabling any systems.
I am aware on release the Born had several software issues but they have been fixed with the OTA updates, a feature the MG4 was advertised with but will never be enabled on this generation of cars.

It's a bloody shame because the car drives so well, yeah the interior is cheap but you can't complain for the price

I went for a run out with my mate in his T3 performance and what he noticed was that it came down to reaction times, by the time he'd realised I'd hit the gas it was too late. T3s wet grip traction control is a lot better than mg. He drove mine too and really liked the rawness of it vs Tesla.

I've known this since October 2023.

I've written quite a lot on here in the past, with reference to being an extremely cheap (to SAIC)

I have always said that they F.C.T.D me.

Coming from a Pre FL MG5 it is going to be a bit different!
