Had my X Power 6 months this weekend.
And still loving it. It's not disappointed at all. I've been lucky enough not to have been plagued by, the faults/foibles or whatever you want to call them. That other X Power/MG4 owner's have had.
Infact it's been pretty much faultless.
So hopefully it continues. 🙂👍

Only really annoying 'characteristic' I have (apart from the totally useless speed limit recognition) is the inability of the car to connect to a network. Not a huge problem since I had no real interest in using iSmart anyway but, still, if it's there it should work IMO.

Can’t say I really pay much attention to the accuracy of the speed limit recognition + tend to use a TomTom satnav for longer journeys which is always spot on.
Agree, it’s a pleasure to drive and totally lovin’ it… 😀

I hope so to ..

Sadly ive found another issue which im going to have to go back to the dealer for ..

The other day after finishing charging as i was leaving the charging station i got 2 big clunks from the motor ..

I then got a motor fail red warning light on the screen and a unable to select reverse gear tried to accelerate and nothing for a few second then it worked its self out and continued on ..

hasnt happened since but its worthy of a dealer visit just incase its something nasty !!

If this becomes a big problem ( BIG IF ) its going to cement me never buying a MG again !

I'm just over 6 months in now too. No major problems for me either. As I don't charge at home it was a challenge to keep the costs down at first, but I've mastered it now and I'm about to drop below the cost of ice for the same miles. I do my big charge at 39p p kw and top up and balance at 44p

I'm six months in too; and happy to say that apart from the 'characteristics, my has been troublefree too. I've had a couple of very minor niggles - the tailgate latch rattled; fixed with some electrical tape, and the charging flap being difficult to shut; fixed with some silicon spray. So very pleased with my purchase decision (a rash on the spot decision when I went out to buy a Cuppa Born 😆).

Well that's great to hear for you. Mine, the rattling glove compartment, and now the dash sometimes the squicking brakes and the dealer only saying its normal!! Anyone experience this?

I would be furious if my brakes were squicking!

Take it back and ask that they sort out the issue immediately.

Or do it yourself with some really hard stops from speed.

Guaranteed to stop all 'squeaking' 👍🤣

Yep, good for me and other X Power owner's 🙂 But for you and other X Power owner's, they haven't been as fortunate. 🙁 As has been said many times it's literally pot luck, what you get.
🤔

My brakes evidently get sufficient use to not squeak...
To be honest, I had low expectations after reading all the complaints etc. but decided to go with it anyway. It's been a pleasant surprise. I have a few vibes at around 65+ but inflating the tyres to 40psi made those almost imperceptible. Apart from the bloody awful software, everything has been fine. (touching every bit of wood I can find)
