As some of you know, I smashed my ankle in on 23 November. Yesterday, I finally was able to wash it, albeit with not as much attention as I would have liked, as I could not grovel on the driveway!
It was f-f-f-f-f-f filthy!
One dirty side. I should have taken a shot of the rump as that was truly caked. Like the Golf, it seems to get its back end dirty quite rapidly.
After:
The car had a chip on the leading edge of the bonnet, which I knew about. There is now a new one at the base of the off side A pillar, and a supermarket door ding on the driver's door that does not T-cut out....
I hate when people do that. It happened to me years ago when I was self-employed. I was in Tesco carpark in the car, eating my lunch, when someone pulled in next to me and got out, banging their door on mine.
She didn't notice I was in the car, so when I honked the horn, she jumped.
Then proceeded to deny she had banged the door despite me showing the red mark on my white door that matched exactly with the position of the leading edge of her open door.
She continued to deny it, so I took photos of her, the doors and her reg and let the insurance deal with it.
They found the paint on my door matched her paint.
She fought it every step of the way. Denied it outright and it nearly ended in court until she eventually caved. Madness....
Anyway...apart from the ding, nice clean car.
