Just had the 3 year low milage health check / service done on our 2022 Trophy LR.
I paid £84.00 and received ( by my request ) a two sheet copy of the MG service schedule “tick box” form.
Also a similar green / amber / red tick box sheet completed for the health check report.
The car was dropped off just before 8.30am then just after 9.00am I received a “Health Check” video sent over to my phone.
It also contained ( by request ) a SOH percentage check of the traction battery.
At the two year service the SOH was 99% and now it is 96% after about 24,000 miles.
So, the checks were pretty much complete in about thirty minutes.
I do feel that the price I paid, was a fair representation of the work content / time spent on the car.
I am struggling to understand why some dealers are ( trying ) to charge a lot of money for these very basic checks.
Shop around if your not happy.
I collected the car at 11.00am and was also handed another MG / AA Recovery contact card.
I was offered a price for a service plan, but I rejected the offer.
When I first booked in the car about three weeks ago, they did ask me if I wanted the first MOT doing at the same time as the service to save some time.
I resisted their kind offer, as I have never let a main dealers conduct MOT’s on my cars, even if it is offered for “so called” free.
I had the car tested four days earlier at a local MOT station, which I strongly recommend TBH.
Pretty hard to snag any issues regarding suspension / brakes etc at the time of the service then

.
Having the MOT done made it easy for the dealer granted, as the MOT had covered many of the items then are paid to check
