MG4 Xpower user here, after 8 years with a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. I've had the MG4 since September and love it. There are a few things about the software that I don't like, but the car is superb with the effortless acceleration.

Hello all,

Got a Grey MG4 Trophy LR on its way (hopefully, it was originally blue but that was an SE and they didn’t realise, and now the finance figures I’ve had through to sign are £92pm more than my paperwork says…)

Looking forward to getting back in an EV, had a 27kWh Leaf (bugeyed one) in Covid and loved the experience, since then I went back to petrol and have yearned for an EV ever since.

Loads of helpful advice in here already, I’ve been an unregistered lurker for a while. I’m looking forward to contributing and learning.

Welcome to MGEVs @adamalle, after having an EV myself for nearly 4 months now, I don't think I'd ever go back to petrol.

Can I ask why did you go back to petrol after having the Leaf?

At the time I didn’t have my own place so no opportunities to home charge, and the Leaf got on my nerves in the winter, the small battery and winter drop off was quite something. Public charging every 3rd day in winter wasn’t enjoyable, and it was when used prices were booming so I took advantage of it. Could’ve gone for a hybrid, and I’m sure they work for some but I can’t wrap my head around the logic of them.

I can't imagine having signed on the figures, they can make you pay more, surely?

They can try, it won't go well for them though, especially as I asked for a copy of the finance illustration showing the figure we agreed on before I left, which I've since sent back to them

Should be a Watched option on the horizontal sub menu at the top of each page. Scroll up to the top of the page if you can't see it.

Welcome to MGEVs @WooDan, I think you'll find a massive difference between the Leaf and the MG4.
