HS Trophy
Hi All.
I am new to the forum as i have only just purchased my first Mg hs phev trophy last Saturday 06/04/25.
Unfortunately by Wednesday 10/04/25 the car was back at the supplying dealer with an engine management fault which was staing emmision fault which i believe is quite a std error message that covers a multitude of errors.
Anyway to cut a long story short i am being told its a software error and after the dealer ship has raised a ticket with mg for assistance and tried reboots etc the fault has not been fixed.
I believe the fault is transmission related which i can believe as the vehicle did make some strange noises almost as if i was scaping a loose exhaust etc for a short period of time.
Anyway Mg have now authorized a brand new replacement vehicle which although not ideal was appreciated as i would always be nervous the fault on this particular vehicle would show it head again later down the road, although i am still worried there is an underlying fault with this model.
I was just asking if anyone on this forum has had similar issues like this.
Thankyou in advance
Lawrence

Fortunately, I've not had any such issues with my '2025' MG HS Trophy PHEV - or read of others having such a problem. I've had three issues as reported on another thread:

I think MG have been pretty fair to you offering a new vehicle rather than fixing your original one. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it!

Thank you for your reply and agree MG have been fair replacing the vehicle and hope all is well with this one as i honestly like the car.
On another note did you get any form of charging lead with your vehicle i.e Type 2 to Type 2 or a granny charger.
Thanks
Lawrence

I was told that you don't get a granny charger but talked the round so happy I'm the end.i love the car
Thanks for the reply.
I was also told that the car does not come with and charger or lead, however when I contact MG customer services they informed me that they come with a Type 2 lead and a tyre repair sealant and compressor neither of which the car had.
I am due to pick the replacement car up hopefully by the end of the week so i will check again,
Lawrence

I received a Type 2 > Type 2 lead. I had a wall charger at home from my previous car and when I had the initial charging issue, I bought a granny charger just to prove it wasn't a fault with my wall charger.

The Type 2 > Type 2 lead was supplied a week after the car as apparently, (certainly in the first shipment of 2025 HS PHEV), didn't arrive with one as the leads were shipped separately. When it arrived, it was in an MG bag.
