MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Has anybody else noted the interior colour of the blue in the foreground, it either has fitted seat covers. or came with the beige interior available in Europe (France?). As an aside, I saw 4 yesterday, two blues, a white, in and around High Wycombe, and a green X power parked up in...

3 pin charger with Wi-Fi and usage calculator - recommendations?

The charger will supply a maximum of 13A, but is selectable via the app. For the UK the max you would set it to is 10A to be compliant from a 3 pin plug.

3 pin charger with Wi-Fi and usage calculator - recommendations?

In my experience this is an area that is lacking. Most manufactures of 13A plug (granny) chargers, are dumb as has been pointed out. I my view you need to keep track of the energy costs, after all you wouldn't just fill up with petrol and pay without knowing how much it had cost you. There are...

Maximum Charging Guide - Type 2 EV Cables

Very well explained Seajays. There will be a great number of people who will find the table very interesting as it really explains that even though you might have a 3 phase cable, depending on your on board charger, and the rating of the cable you might not get the charging power you would...

    Disappointing winter range

I believe they call this phase "equalisation" When it gets to 80% you see the charging power dropping off, and eventually ending up pulsing every few seconds for about half an hour or so before the charge is finished, rather than terminating the charge abruptly when it reaches 80%. Its the same...

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

On my journey yesterday from High Wycombe to Edgware I saw five. Four were in the High Wycombe area, blue, grey and black. The forth was red parked at Tesco in Loudwater, and the fifth was a green X Power in Pinner. We do have two dealerships that serve our area, Perry's MG in Aylesbury, and...

Showing the Clock on the main screen

I too have never seen how to select the clock that is shown in the menu. However once you display the clock, how do you restore the screen, is it by pressing the home button?

    MG4 Pedestrian Alert

The sound made from mine is very subtle, nothing like as loud as a VW, Porsche or Audi although the sound is similar, like a sci-fi film spaceship. EV's are designed to produce a noise known as Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) the level has to be between 56 dBA and 75 dBA at 2 metres...

    Positive experiences with MG4 Accessories

My solution to the lack of light in the rear of the car...a USB light from Temu. It has a touch on/off switch, which ends up on the underside and prevents accidental operation. It has both up and down LED's. It just requires the car to be in the on state so that the USB is powered.

    MG4 virtual engine sound?

I found a much simpler way of checking whether the pedestrian alert module is working having watched the posted video on the subject. On a safe or private quite road, Open the driver and passenger windows, turn the infotainment volume down, and the HVAC off. Pull away to a low speed by selecting...

    5.9 Miles/kWh - anyone got past six?!

I agree with tsedge. To be meaningful the figure needs to be the average over different driving conditions over about 100 miles. Here are mine for May.
