Thanks Clive, I searched and searched for it, can't understand why I couldn't find it

MG3 Hybrid fuel cap is very difficult to open

I did make a wooden one but it broke after 4 months, so I got this 26mm cone wrench from Amazon £8 nice and compact flat spanner

You can see why I binned the contract within hours of taking it on when I read the small print.

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

Needless to say I won't be using the MG Sat Nav anymore, I'll stick with Magic Earth.

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

I heard that the installed MG sat nav had an update, first in 2 years. It has taken me 3 months to get this reply: I had also asked if I could update it myself, but they ignored that completyely. I loved the ' probably avaiable' bit, so in response I put this:

MG3 Hybrid fuel cap is very difficult to open

I didn't because I thought it might interfere with the sealing, but do you reckon that will do it?

    Grinding Brakes

I had it happen once, there is a separate entry about this somewhere, I'm sure it said the Ready light needed to be illuminated green before putting it into drive Mines the same. I deliberately brake a few times when I set off to clean them and then it's fine. Odd but fine 🤔

    Grinding Brakes

I think the parking brakes only the rear discs, but that's where the problem is so I'll give it a try 👍

MG3 Hybrid fuel cap is very difficult to open

I have seen this posted somewhere before but cannot find it. The fuel tank is sealed, the benefit being less fuel evaporation, but it makes it very hard to remove the fuel cap. My wife found it impossible to do so I made a spanner to give some leverage. It worked fine for a couple of months but...

    Grinding Brakes

I've continued with Decklan's advice and it is a lot better, just need to brake a few times to clear the rust when I first set off.

    Larger wheels for MG3 Hybrid?

I suppose the logical answer would be to ask the dealer/MG, then there is no grey area

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

As I've already said your suggestion is very useful. You don't happen to have a similar solution for using routes, do you? I usually plan my routes on my pc using TomTom myroutes and then save them as GPX files which I double click on and open whichever sat nav app I think I'd likely to be the...

    MG3 Hybrid+Heating Vs EV

I always use the heated seats and steering when it is really cold, but switching off the A/C is not an option as it fogs up very quickly. I think it is a bit of trial an error and what each individual prefers in terms of comfort.

    Grinding Brakes

Totally agree with Declan, excellent advice. I had virtually the idetical problem. The sales guy at my local dealership said that they are having some cars in after a year with rust ring build up on the rear discs, simply vecause they are hardly used when you have regen on, he advised to not use...

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

Very useful tip, I hadn't thought of that. My work around was to use the what3words app and navigate which opens up the sat nav of your choice. Your suggestion is a lot quicker. Many thanks 👍

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

Totally agree, which is the main reason I don't like using any of their products unless it is unavoidable such as my android phone I like Magic Earth, the only thing I find is that it is quite bright on the car screen, I can dim it on my phone but can't find how to do it on android auto. The...

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

I've just looked into Google Maps, a local area covers about 50 square miles on my android phone. I think even if you could download them all it would be a huge task for Google to update them. The UK is 94,384 square miles that makes 1887 maps of 50 square miles each. It's a complete non...
