I'd go for the single motor, unless you live in a climate where AWD is more likely to be required in Winter (eg. Norway). The RWD has plenty of power, and better range as @Caramaddy has pointed out.

The BYD Sealion 7 is probably closest in terms of dimensions (4,830mm long, 2,930mm wheelbase), but the boot space is 520L with seats up / 1,789L with seats folded, and the Frunk is only 58L. The Sealion 7 has an RRP of £47k-59k too, so for a "challenger" brand, it's quite pricey compared to the MG.

To be fair, the Scenic is nowhere near the size of the MGS6. It'd be like comparing a Juke to an X-Trail. The eC5 Aircross is a strong contender, but it's not got the same sort of quality finish as the MG. The EV5 Air is the entry level model, and so doesn't have any of the kit that the MGS6...
