Thanks, that's good to know. I am collecting my S5 this lunchtime in PX for my ZSEV so I'll whip out the granny charger along with all my accumulated crap.
I just upgraded from my 2024 ZSEV to a brand new S5 via Hendy Poole (mentioned earlier in the thread) and collecting tomorrow. They were doing a deal of £23,750 for an S5 Trophy long range which seemed like a great deal, almost £10k off but the OP said he got one at £21,300 in June which seems...
My Mercedes 2015 E220 had the best headlights I have ever had. Dipped flawlessly at least as quickly as I could have reacted and never missed a beat. The 2024 MG, however, just rubbish on both measures.
I had exactly this problem on my ZSEV yesterday and many times before. Trying to speak to someone it just kept dropping off. My wife looked at the phone and what was happening is that the bluetooth connection just kept dropping out, so she had to manually reconnect and the call continued. I...
If you want to see design borrowed from the Tesla look no further than the IM5 and IM6!
I seriously doubt if the software is going to get anywhere near the quality of a Tesla though if my ZSEV is anything to go by. The UI design is shockingly bad and from what I saw in the test drive of the S5...
I'm collecting my new one on Wednesday; they had a £10k off list price promotion for October so I'm trading in my Jan 2024 ZSEV. Maybe the massive discount is to make way for the new model. I really don't like the rotating central gear knob so I would have liked the one on the stalk in the new...
I have it on my ZS EV and turned it off. In summer it seems more or less ok but as soon as you get rain or dirt on the windscreen it seems to blind everyone it can. I assume it's the same on the S5 from other comments here.
Turn it off!
I have a Jan '24 ZS EV Trophy Connect SR (bought July '24 as ex-demo).
I'm thinking of trading it in for a MGS5 Trophy LR.
The ZSEV is a car that I constantly have to think, "Well, it was cheap" to stop me getting annoyed. The entertainment software was clearly written by an 18yo intern who has...
I just downloaded it and inside the maps folder is a file called version.txt, which has the content:
24Q3_EU_20240829032156_n
So it looks like there is finally an updated map for EU, but again, is this for all EU MG models? I don't want to brick my unit.
Presumably from this link? https://mgmotor.eu/downloads/maps.zip
How do you know which model it's for? There seem to be different updates for each model, I have a 2023 ZS EV Trophy.
Did you successfully update & what version was it?
That picture is with the lower height. I never understood why they have the higher one, why would anyone want to make the boot smaller by leaving it on the higher setting?
Here are the photos for the same pushchair in Honda Civic 2013 (400 litres official space) and MG (470 litres official space).
2013 Honda Civic:
2023 MG ZS EV:
In the MG it won't fit between the wheel arches so won't sit flat. In the Civic it sits flat with 2-3 inches spare. Also far less...
I'm afraid not. I strangely did find it better just saying 'Hey Google' rather than pressing the speak button. So 'Hey Google, navigate to Winchester train station' for instance seems to work ok when plugged in and using AA.
At my first service the dealer said software updates are free, but 'none came up as being required' so none were done. I did ask if that meant only updates flagged as essential or any updated software but it was just receptionist and didn't really know.
Yes it would be good. 2 people I know have had accidents recently and their inbuilt dashcam footage was used to verify 3rd party caused them. The guy with BMW i4 was shunted from the back and the driver tried to scarper. The footage got the number plate and evidence. My mate had a Tesla written...
That's strange, I found the boot space really disappointing. We have a 2013 Honda Civic hatchback and a toddler living with us. The Out'n'About Nipper pushchair fits very comfortably in the back of the Honda with space either side, but can't even lay down in flat the MG boot. When we went on...
Brand new unused, makes me wonder why they just sat on it for over 8 months. I bought a 5 month old Jan 2024 Trophy Connect SR ex-demo in June 24 ex-demo for £19.5k, so I've had the same thing as you're looking at for a year now. Many annoyances with the utterly useless entertainment interface...
That's not for the EV, it's a completely different fixing.
I can't believe how rubbish the rear parcel shelf is. Feels like it's made out of cardboard and the fixings are so flimsy too. I'd buy a different one if available.
