Spent a couple of hours one afternoon playing with ABRB on my phone and re-familiarising myself with Android Auto.
About to set off for 500km drive, plugged phone in with route planned, AA selected on car's 'home' screen and get a display which is ⅔ ABRP and ⅓ audio player.
OK so far, but pressing on the map to 'full-screen' it I get an error:

Pressing either of the options gives me:

This with car 'off' and handbrake on, most certainly not driving.
We've gone thro' all the phone's settings and made changes but to no avail. My partner & I have identical phones, so don't have an alternative to try.
Any clues anyone?
Reported to ABRP.

Android v14.

Abrp was specifically recommended to me on here, it has features that Google lacks. I even subscribed ..
ABRP was only recommended on the other thread because the user is in 'camp Apple', so refuses to use the acknowledged best mapping app. Google maps can locate EV charging stations and filter by capacity/type. Zapmap is also a nice tool for finding charging stations. Not sure why you want to continue with something that doesn't work.

We used both on our drive yesterday; we preferred ABRP over Google without using AA for either.
And I'm all Apple, except for fone ...
It doesn't matter what other devices you use Apple for since it's the phone you connect to the car. If you prefer an app which doesn't work properly that's fine, your choice.

My point being that ABRP worked perfectly when not used via Android Auto, and was in most respects preferable to GM for us in an EV in spain

this is between ABPR, Android Auto and your phone. The car is simply a screen/monitor for the other 3. I would suspect Android Auto and ABPR not talking to each other as they should. But if you can see ABPR on 2/3 of the screen, why not use it like that, when I use Google maps on 2/3 for navigation, it feels easier to see than the full screen moving about as you drive...

Thanks, but without going full screen it's impossible to zoom or scroll the map. Dialog with ABRP support ongoing ....
once you set the route and the charger where you want to stop, is the map not moving as you drive?
let us know what the solution is. they should help you since you have paid version...

Doh!!

Issue resolved. A sharp double-tap is required on the ABRP map shown ⅔ screen to get it to go full screen. Discovered by accident ...

I'll get me coat ..

Well, with Google maps, it's only one gentle tap on the screen to get it full screen - another proof it's better than ABRP 😂😉

Good you sorted it out 👍
