Well, you do have the LR which helps. My gen1 with 160 miles is fine locally, no problems at all. Going to Cornwall say, or Norfolk, both of which I do regularly, can be awkward, especially in winter. But with a bit of determination and planning, it is ok.

I have been very happy with my gen1, it is a great car and excellent value. I might have moved to gen2 LR except the new grille plus other spec changes have ruined a good looking car. Also the extra cost is a lot for another 100 miles range.
