Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

I chose the Kona (alternative would have been e-Niro) purely on practical rather than aesthetic issues. Let's face it I also had an MG5 pre-facelift, hardly a looker in most people's eyes and prior to that the ZS EV, equally hardly a stunner. BE (before EV's) I had a Toyota Avensis...... I see...

    5.5 miles/kWh!

Good question. I see no reason why that wouldn't work with the appropriate app, most use Car Scanner I think, me included but there are others. BUT here is the big but, I have used my dongle/app on my original ZS EV, worked great, works on my current Kona EV great but it would not work on my MG5...

    5.5 miles/kWh!

Possibly, worth a try, but it takes a while for the batteries to warm up. You can see the temperatures with the use of an OBD dongle and app, but that's complicating things.

    DIY enclosure for home storage

I thought one of the many virtues of LED bulbs was that they produced little to no heat.

Fortunately I can't see these for 99.9% of the time, so it doesn't bother me. If anybody else is disturbed by the ugliness.....I don't care :)

    5.5 miles/kWh!

Short journeys form 'cold' will produce poorer figures as the HV/traction battery is not up to temperature. As that warms up through use it performs better. An example of this was last year when on a 45 mile journey starting at zero degrees first thing in the morning, and ending at 4 degrees I...

Impact of KERS on tyre wear

No I mean the handbrake. From the MG5 owners manual...... Page 172 STARTING & DRIVING Auto Hold When Auto Hold is being used to stabilise the vehicle, power system shutdown, releasing the seat belt or pressing the auto hold switch, the electronic parking brake is applied. .. Auto hold has 3...

Yes, it was only the earlier ones that had a problem, I believe a recall was done for them.

I switched to a 2022 Hyundai Kona, I could give my opinions on that but I fear of little interest here.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. On my pre-facelift (PFL) the rear lights were LED.

Adding a Shelly WiFi controller to a Chargemaster Homecharger

My Rolec has been performing perfectly fine. Your experience (and others) with the very early ones are not the same as those with later Rolec models. :)

I think that should read 'Rolec units WERE not equipped with the best quality components internally when I got mine.'

I very rarely spun my wheels in Normal, I guess my right foot isn't quite as heavy as some others.
