    If you have movement in the steering column, then that might be either the universal joint failure problem, or the problem with the bolts that secure the steering mechanism to the bulkhead.

    You may find it is only a temporary fix. If it starts clicking again, try replacing the nut or add a second nut to lock it in place.

    Thanks for that link, it's exactly what I needed to work out how to get the bottom cover off. Tightened the bolt a little, and added a locking bolt to stop it working loose again.
