    Seat belt warning

Can't help you, I'm afraid, but I was able to drive without the seatbelt fastened (closed track, private property yada yada yada).

Maybe not this one though. ;-)

    MG4 Software Update Thread

Indeed. The R33 cars are on the market for less than a year. It would be a shame if they wouldn't receive software updates after such a short period of time. But then, it would be a gigantic hassle for MG to foster multiple software strings. This is getting exciting. ;-)

The other question to ask would be: Do the "old" models now receive other updates or no updates at all?

    Speakers!?

Well, the spec sheet tells you the SE has four speakers (vs. the Trophy's six), but it does not tell you, where they are. ;-) Since the door cards are the same the presence of the mounting locations is misleading indeed.

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

Well, who would have thought it's possible to not notice an oil leak in 2022 and put in into production like that.

    Aircon pump squeak / chirp.

The air conditioning compressor on my MG4 was a bit strange, too. It sounded "imbalanced", like an old fan. But it was not as noisy that it would have bothered me. That said, the compressor on our Ioniq 5 is rather noisy as well, when the car was parked in the sun and it has to work hard to cool...

    Help with Charging

That's some nice Victorian plumbing right there. ?

MG4 Loud bang when charger connected

Exactly. Especially experiencing that the dealer is not on your side when something goes wrong will make everyone in their right minds run away from this brand (or at least dealership).

Not happy to hear that there are AWD-specific issues already. The Chinese-spec Conti tyres are mediocre at best, but afaik the AWD has Bridgestones. And it seems balancing them was already tried and didn't work either.

I couldn't have helped myself but set up multiple accounts and spammed them with bad Google reviews while waiting. ?

    MG4 Restricted speed - weird

From now on document everything with date and time. Always set deadlines in writing. I don't know about the UK, but in Germany the first consultation with an attorney is free. Maybe this might help you to set up a scheme?

After MG have dropped it on the Festival of Speed, they won't have to take a penny off as orders will pile up.

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

Yes. The problem lies in the future, not in the past. Especially Volkswagen relies on a reputation grown in the past and is unable to live up to it anymore. BMW is not able to offer a replacement for the genius i3. If they ever will, all customers will have migrated. The cheapest BMW i4 is EUR...

Yes. Those two are the best bang for your buck right now. Model 3 Performance not far away though after the latest reductions. Still tempted.

Endless problems with this terrible car

    1) Your dealer is obviously bullsh*tting you. This is not a common fault, let alone with the MG4. 2) Depending which model you have this might be fine in certain conditions (for an SE) or really bad (for a Trophy/Luxury model). 3) AC or DC charging? Our Ioniq 5 came with a faulty charging...

Many posts on Facebook tonight suggesting the MSRP of the X POWER model will be GBP 36,495. This might be the performance bargain of the decade.

    MG4 Software Update Thread

I can only say that the OTA updates on the Ioniq 5 work perfectly well. The car downloads the update file when available and asks you if you want to install it. Then you get a little pop up message when the car has installed the update explaining the new features and that's it. Never any...
