This is an update to both models as far as we know, the reason why we cannot guaruntee whether one currently ordered will have the updated specification or not as there is both new and existing stock available, only new ones coming will have these updates
this is correct, the fuel consumption will be higher in the winter as the battery is less efficient, meaning the engine is on more to keep it charged as well as having the heating on
In the old HS PHEV, the car had a 10 speed gearbox, meaning that the engine would drive the wheels as a normal car when the battery was depleted,
Whereas in the new HS PHEV, it has a 2 speed gearbox so the engine will only drive the wheels directly under extreme acceleration,
The all new HS PHEV does have an EV ONLY mode, the point i was making was that the electric motor drives the wheels the whole time, with the engine assisting at higher speeds, rather than taking over
The all new MG HS PHEV has a full 55 litre fuel tank along with a 75 mile EV range, the set up on the new HS PHEV is different, in the case that even at higher speeds the wheels are being driven by the electric motor, with the engine providing charge and driving support, it only has a 2 speed...
This is the replacement for ZS EV, it is called the ES5 EV in China, however unknown what it will be called or when it will even be available in the UK at this time, as it currently stands, there is no replacement for the MG5 due
Yes, that is correct, Model Year 24s all have sat nav and a reverse camera added to SE models,
SE SR models have a smaller battery at 49KwH compared to the previous 51KwH as well as all models now have the active grille
Is it a high pitched beeping? As I am an MG Dealer, its the only warning sound that people have mentioned to me about that they dont know what it is and it tends to be the speed camera alert from the sat nav
Surely if it was illegal then they wouldn't allow you to do it at all?
Thats usually the case with most things, different countries have different laws, hence why theres lots of variations in specifications
the argument to that is turn the car on with the app 10 minutes before leaving, so that by the time you are ready to leave, the car is all defrosted,
Its not just the HS, but all MG models will beep the horn if you leave the car in or try and lock the car before the boot or doors have been...
if you look on the complete left side of the speedometer display, underneath the speed there is the actual fuel guage which should have the triangle there, the one you have shown in the post is just the digital estimation of remaining range, rather than whats left in the tank
As far as we know, the boot should be the same size, as one of the major points of the new model HS is that both the Petrol and PHEV models have the same boot capacity, which is uncommon for PHEVS. Until we have official confirmation of the details, it's hard to say.
