I use the clock at night to reduce the glare. From the Home Screen, swipe from the top right corner diagonally down to the left.
Then select screen off. You then get a large analogue clock in the centre of the screen.
I rarely use the car setting at all, I always set it to health mode in the app. In fact it’s set to health mode (80%) right now in the app and is currently charging away at 88%
I contact mg through the ISMART route on the app and got this remarkable reply from them-
“Dear customer,
Thanks for your email.
MG's vehicles are not capable of doing this feature right now. But we are working on it and may be able to realise this feature on a future vehicle.
Still thank...
Exactly the same issue, and also contacted iSMART, as you did. Still awaiting a response.
Thought it was just me! I also waited 8 months for them to decide to replace the CCU so I could rapid charge!!!
I posted in the mg4 forum but admin moved it for some reason?
The cog you refer to is greyed out and unresponsive! Maybe I need to contact the dealership. Hope I get a quicker fix than the last issue I had, took 8 months to fix!!
I was wondering if this common to all MG4 models, or just my trophy.
When I select “battery health mode “ in my vehicle, it always charges to 100%
And the option no longer seems available under EV management in the app anymore?
I also select 80% in the Octopus energy app and that also get...
I think the sales rhetoric is miss placed, people are led to believe less moving parts equals lower maintenance etc, it’s plain to see most people who own a EV spend considerably more time at the dealer due to complicated unreliable electronic equipment and constant upgrades. With an ICE...
I’ve had this fault for almost a year now! Lost count of how many times it’s been in to try and fix. It’s in again on Monday to replace CCU and some other part, since I made official complaint, and only contacting dealership via MG now.
Dealership were authorised to order the parts and repair...
Well, the engineer who I saw suggested he thought it needed the CCU replacing, but it’s up to MG to decide. Sometimes they ask the engineer for advice and sometimes they take control. But that was almost a month ago now. It’s the appalling reaction times and lack of any feedback that’s the big...
Thanks, just read the whole thread.
I’ve had this fault since October last year
( months11 after purchase)
Currently unable to dc charge temp sensor replaced, and when I collected the car made engineer accompany me to a DC Gridserve with his laptop.
Wouldn’t complete the handshake and failed to...
I’ll contact MG customer services, whom I have a chain of emails with, telling them of my intents.
First issue is the dealer I purchased from isn’t aware of said issue to my knowledge, as I’ve been using a newer dealership geographically closer to me.
I guess I’ll have to book it in there...
I have the iSMART set to 80%, but that has no effect. I have the Octopus go set to 80% with no effect. I get a message from Octopus saying “we were unable to control your device”.
I’ll try a schedule charge on the Zappi and see if that works.
Problem is as soon as I plug in, Octopus decides...
Just an update regarding my rapid charging problem.
Took car in on April 17.
Got engineer to sit in and do diagnostic check. Threw up fault as I suspected,
He then cleared the fault and accompanied me to a rapid charger.
Failed to charge, timed out.
I decided to take the car home as there was...
