Is this documented anywhere in the manual or something? I can relate to what you say here. When I charged my car over the weekend using a rapid charger, it did charge to 100%.
I press it and it returns to 100% and then charges to 100% too. Does not stop at 80%. This is happening on the iSmart App too. Here is the video of that:
After a few seconds, you can notice right below Scheduled Charging, 'Failed' appears.
Whenever I try to set the target battery level both in the car's infotainment screen or on the iSmart app, it seems to be jump back to 100% and due to this I am never able to charge upto only say 80%. I have to either use Ohme's charging app to limit my charging(They do not have integration with...
(Talking about parking etiqutte and not charging etiquette here)- I had a similar experience just yesterday. Went out locally with my wife for some household shopping and none of the electric car parking bays were free. All parked with ICE cars. I had to wait until one of them became free. By...
I shall try and reach out to my dealer and confirm this from them on how are the OTA's expected? Do we need to visit them(defeats the purpose of OTA) or does it happen via a push from MG etc.
Not sure unless someone with a Trophy Connect gives it a go? @Dave Can you try any of the commands from the list @Gadget Geek provided above? These look the same as the app.
There is an App called MG Voice Commands in Google PlayStore that lists all the voice commands for MG.Not sure if there is an iOS app too. There are more than 100 voice commands. Surely worth a look. Here is the screenshot of how the app looks. Each of these headings have commands under them:
Is there a way to manually trigger the balancing? Or it just happens on its own after the charging reaches to 100% on a AC charger(either granny or wallbox)
I drove a petrol car all these years and its my first experience with an BEV car. I quite agree with you @Merry, a lot of times we just want to go about doing the normal 70mph on motorways and not be too bothered about the range and the dwindling battery at higher speeds and conserving energy...
May be late to the party but saw this in the manual and thought worth sharing. This may also bring down the range if you plan to rapid charge the car at services etc:
Surprisingly, slow charging point according to the manual refers to granny chargers!
I had the same question too. The fact that the car is able to communicate with the iSmart app remotely(without bluetooth or internet connectivity) means there has to be an e-sim or some technology within the car and the difference between connect and non connect version would just be...
On the infotainment screen, under Settings -->System I found an Update button. When I pressed that, it tried to do something and came back saying no updates and updated the time of the check on the screen to today. May be that meant OTA update. Am not sure. May be @Miles Roberts CG can shed some...
Since the car is already bound to the app with your email, its not compulsory to update your mobile number. However whenever there are alerts like someone trying to forcefully open your car etc, you will not recv a SMS but only an email. Check my post on this here - Security Alarm Notification...
I see these videos on the official MG Youtube channel. Few quick points:
1. The guy explaining is no more wearing the Summit Garage tshirt!
2. These videos seem old too. The latest version of the app does not have tailgate option and warming of the seats
3. If we look at the video when he turns...
