I forgot that there is no reverse camera and bits like heated seats on the Excite model.
Our Exclusive model reverse camera gets obscured by dirt quite a lot and then isn't much use, maybe need to clean the car more often lol.
@Lovemyev Well what an interesting day......
First MOT, no issues noted at all, but middle rear seatbelt wouldn't lock in, I fiddled around with it and I got it latching so they re-issued a pass.
Then this afternoon have been crashed into from behind at a mini-roundabout. Silver plastic panel...
I get that & agree, lifting completely off (assuming conditions allow max KERS) does cause sufficient instant deceleration to cause the brake lights to come on.
This car wasn’t decelerating hardly anything/ if at all though, so they couldn’t have been lifting completely off the pedal every few...
The brake lights only come on with KERS once sufficient deceleration is achieved, not instantly.
In this situation, the car was hardly decelerating - if at all; not enough for KERS to trigger the brake light.
Also the brake light was literally only flashing on, every time consistently, which...
I don’t think it could’ve been that though, as it was such a regular pattern. Plus it didn’t really slow down at all much every time they flashed, under KERS the brake lights don’t come on unless enough deceleration occurs.
I was following a mk2 today on a 40mph road for several minutes.
When there were no other cars infront (potentially activating its adaptive cruise control), it’s brake lights very briefly flashed on roughly every 5 seconds.
It would've been very interesting if I’d have been able to ask them...
Hi @Lovemyev I had already booked it in for an MOT elsewhere, the dealer did call to say it needs an MOT too and said they could do it at the same time.
To be honest it’ll only ever be going into an MG dealership when it is necessary to keep the warranty!
To add to this thread with more dealership service price quotes....
I need the 3rd year (which is the type A service, same as year 1) (Not low mileage).
For reference I paid £79.80 at Glyn Hopkin Milton Keynes for this same service 2 years ago!
Glyn Hopkin (Milton Keynes) £186 but then offered...
I've only just seen this post.
I could design something if it's something a few people would be interested in.
I've got the mk1 ZS, so can measure it.
How would you guys like it to look?
Interesting.
I guess the car bms supplied SOH figure could be “wrong” but it depends on how you measure it and calculate it, algorithms etc will differ between manufacturers.
I’ve done mpkwh calculations from odb2 logged trips and they don’t match exactly what the cars trip says.
The problem is...
Real SoC at “100%” is temperature etc related - plus how balanced, so that sounds reasonable.
Your 149miles sounds wrong though. With trips reset, It should correlate with the SOH% and WLTP value.
Maybe something to do with the older software being installed.?
I’m pretty sure that the SoC you’re talking about at 97.3% is the true SoC, there is also another PID that shows 100%.
As far as the bms is concerned it tells you publicly it’s 100% charged as that is when the battery is charged as full as it will allow it. The BMS also knows the real battery...
