Are you scheduling the charge through the car or the charger? If through the charger the car might not like it suddenly cutting off and treats it as an error?

Strange. When they rang me, on Monday, they assured me the grant and price was still assured. In fact the only thing the adviser warned me about was that the free insurance I'm getting with the deal might need me to re-apply when it's eventually delivered.

When I spoke to the adviser I did ask if there was any chance of them turning up earlier. He didn't say yes but did mention all they've had so far is a few ICE ZS turn up.

If you cancel the order, and go elsewhere for an EV, you'll still need a charger anyway. So you'd have ended up shelling out ~£1k anyway. You might be a bit worse off than going elsewhere for the charger but not £1k worse off...

So turns out no batteries either as they've not arrived... The building itself is complete, as are the non-PV electrics. Regretting not getting the builders to paint the internal cladding; with just a primer it looks a bit scruffy but that's something we can sort ourselves when we're ready...

What would you get for £5k, what would it be worth after 2 years, how much extra would you have spent just to keep it running and can you just get the dealer to fix any problems you get under warranty?

Not strictly true; EVs still emit tyre particulates (and possibly more than ICE equivalents) and brake dust (should be significantly less than ICE).

Might be remembering wrong but isn't there a dealer update that fixes this? By the same token, if there isn't, does anyone know if the facelift model has the same issue?

We've only seen a few cars coming through a leasing company/broker, maybe 5? On that basis it appears priority is being given to dealer orders.
