If the vehicle is still in Drive (or reverse) it'll still try to creep even with no foot on the accelerator, in the same way as almost all automatics.
It'll be interesting to see what the final diagnosis is. I know there have been reports if MG5s (IIRC) having an improperly secured brake hose...
I have a nice hi viz jacket and a type 2 lead tucked in my frunk. They've been there the past 3 years with only the occasional outing. The jacket is still clean - you just need to be careful everything is tidy and nothing sticks out to get trapped under the stay or the bonnet rubber and care is...
There's a couple of things that I miss from my old Passat estate: the boot was significantly larger than the MG5's and the rear seats folded properly. With squab up against the front seats and the back dropped fully down to give a longer and flat floor. Oh, and I didn't have to wait for ages for...
If it reassures you about using the granny charger for significant charging, that's exactly what I do when I visit my son (just under 400 mile round trip). I plug in at his place with whatever is remaining in the battery, which is about 15% or thereabouts. Recharges to 100% in ca. 17 hours on...
I have a feeling the speech recognition is done on the Google servers - I think. If you've got a pants mobile data signal at the time, that might explain the lack of voice recog.
My inclination would be to kill the mains supply to the charger without the car connected, obv (switch off at the circuit breaker probably in your meter cupboard), forcing a reboot of the Zappi.
A few lots from lot 9577 onwards on this auction site may be of interest.
Beware of Buyers Premium. "Internet charge", postage and VAT, which can add significantly to the hammer price.

Many years sinceupon I had such an episode in my venerable Renault Espace: total inability to reduce speed or stop by treading on the brake pedal.
It turned out to be the one single point of failure in the dial circuit: from memory it was a proportioning valve somewhere under the middle of the...
2020 MG5 SR and I'm getting anything up to 240 miles out of the battery, based on usage of 100% to about 15%, calculated on miles done plus GOM estimate of the remainer.
Uppy datey.
I got fed up fighting the coil of cable on top of the centre console, despite the cable only being 3ft long.
Then in an idle moment I found some 50cm cables certified to 10Gb. At a tenner for 2 delivered, it was inviting, especially as the colour choice meant I could continue the...
If it's some kind of DAB antenna it'll be connected to the radio. Is there a wire coming away from the thing and disappearing into the dash somewhere,?
If you have a phone, or access to one, with NFC capabilities, that might show whether it is an RFID tag. A negative result might just be an...
Check there's nothing trapped betwixt the top of the tailgate and frame, especially under the aerofoil bit. Had a malformed acorn trapped there which was graunching against the bodywork as the tailgate was being closed.
MG5 SR pre facelift with datasheet max of 217 miles range. After a ~ 190 mile trip, done on a single charge, the total of miles done plus GOM predicted miles left was 240. I've achieved similar values on other comparable runs. Well happy.
Er.... Not the whole story. The tank farm near Heathrow is fed by pipelines from one or two refineries (can't recall which ones - I've been asleep several times since I had dealings with the project but I think Stanlow was involved).
Fuel is then distributed to the aircraft stands via a pipework...
