I think its down to charging. Wednesday night I charged it ,Thursday morning had to select EV mode, but after that it kept EV mode for all my short journeys, Friday still kept EV mode all day. Friday night charged , Saturday had to select EV mode again first thing, but kept EV mode rest of day...

Let's hope mg have learnt lessons from the zs EV update fiasco last year , and have tested it properly. Look forward to seeing what you think of the update when you get the car back.

You could always put the heated seats on , so you don't have to suffer the cold

I'm the same as Hermitdave and on octopus go faster from 20:30 for 5 hours at 5.5 p So if I need a full ( or partial charge) I just plug my car in at 20:30 and leave it all night for a full charge , or just unplug it about 22:30 ish for a partial charge. yes 1st thing in the morning it seems hit and miss so I always check to make sure its in EV mode. Hopefully turning off climate control will stop hybrid mode turning on , when you have selected ev mode.

Yes i do the same , re placing my phone on top of the open flap and the lip thingy stops it sliding forward and off. I would be interested in the angled usb cable as well , because at present i leave it open and the cable plugged in , as stated a bad bit of design really .
