I just had R59 installed there. Nothing to get excited about. Spent 20 minutes playing with it in dealer car park. No obvious changes. Was hoping for easy access buttons to turn off the dreaded elk/lka and aeb but no sign of them. Appears much same as R46 though I dare say there are some minor...
I recently mentioned in another thread that at it's first service last month I pointed out to my dealer that the left star button stopped working when they upgraded software to R46 (an issue that has been known since R46 release 7 months ago). Dealer stated they would highlight issue to MG. I...
It happened in way back from 1st service. Took it straight back to dealer who kept for a day and took for road tests but couldn't find a fault. Would easily have been a rear end shunt if driver behind was a bit close or not paying attention. Had a few of these. I find at speeds below say 15 or...

Heres a link to my dashcam footage of a recent emergency brake for no reason. Instant stop from 15mph. Not nice.
Car now booked in and courtesy car being provided by MG and not the dealer. Dealer a but surprised at this as well but they advise that MG themselves have instructed car be taken off the road and infotainment unit removed and returned for examination. All seems a bit excessive but no choice...
Two weeks ago my Trophy had its first service and was updated to R46 and as expected I lost programming functionality of left star button. I pointed this out to dealer who had never heard of this issue which has been well established on here and YouTube videos for past 7 months. Dealer said they...
I had that problem. It was an ultra responsive emergency brake system kicking in. It would detect minor movement 50 feet away and come to a sudden stop making it almost impossible to reverse. Dealer turned the sensitivity down and has worked fine since. However, as you say there was no movement...
I would have thought that there would have been a small heating element in the washer fluid and wrapped round the supply tubes that some cars have. Something for MG to consider in future I think but for us it will just have to be neat washer fluid and to hope for the best.
The graph on my Trophy works fine, however the pie chart on the left no longer shows the percentage used for ancillary functions such as heating etc. Stopped working a few months ago. This is despite winter driving using cabin heating, seat and steering wheel heating. It is always 100% blue.
Your correct. I don't know where this balance charging at anything less than 100% came from. Eon Musk recently used this analogy. Think if the battery as a large car park. When the gate opens cars flow in and fill up the spaces at a near constant rate. As the car park nears capacity and cars...
Set charger to charge at least 5% more than 100% and if the Zappi doesn't balance, where it should charge at about 0.1kw for a half hour plus then you should switch to the granny charger to balance. This is how I do now.
I recently carried out a successful balance charge for the first time in 6 months. I charged to 100% on my Ohme charger and after it stopped I switched to granny and got a balance charge at 0.1kw for 40 minutes. As I have previously mentioned my Ohme has been unable to balance since switching to...
Arnold Clark Linwood tried to sell me a service plan for £400/year!!! Oh how I laughed. Then went online and bought 3 year plan via MG website for about same price.
What your looking for is the Refit and Remove manual. Someone posted a link a couple of months back but I can't find it now. I tried to upload it here but won't allow it as file too big.
