Many moons ago, (June 24) I did a mileage calculation and was very disappointed to find I was getting something in the region of 35mpg. Fortunately, a very kind moderator called Coulomb, pointed out that I had calculated in American gallons. So fear not, 54mpg is the correct figure. Aitch

Hi jondebi. I had the same screeching noise in the early days of ownership. I'm fairly certain it comes from the speed camera setting in the SatNav settings. I can't remember how or where the setting is, but if you go into SatNav settings and try each option, you should find it. Aitch

I have the MG3 hybrid and that boot works the same way. If the car is locked I can open the boot with the button and it locks itself when I close it.

I agree with Dave. Had mine 12 months, great little car. The power and acceleration is simply brilliant. Never had any issues, but I haven't tried hills, so can't say. The car is comfy, absorbs pot holes and I'm regularly showing 65+ mpg. Can't fault it. Aitch
