Yeah easy to miss since it says 'update complete' after the first. You need to do the AVN MPU update, let it restart and you get the 'update complete' message. If you didn't do the MCU update last time you'll probably may have to do this step again. Car needs to be in P and not in READY mode...

@haloweenhamster thanks for the detailed post, I've been sitting on those files forever and never have got around to trying them. Dealers always give a story about it costing x an hour and will probably not be covered under warranty etc... I figured by now if anyone had had any bad experience...

I'm actually closer to MG Gloucester (Bayliss) these days and despite a long list of issues that I provided they say that if MG does not think the update falls under warranty then you'll be charged. I think they quoted £120/hour
