    MG 4 Long Range miles

You could always configure the 'custom' setting for normal pedal force and eco power?

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

I guess this is why he’s in sales and not engineering. All the rack is doing is transmitting the vibration.

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Sadly it’s highly unlikely to make any difference too, although your vibrations sound worse than many so I guess it may have some impact.

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Yep have read from the beginning a few times and appreciate what you are saying. The angle of the driveshafts shouldn’t cause this problem on its own. Many Lotus Elise owners have fitted Honda K20 engines to their cars which results far more extreme driveshaft angles than on the front of the...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

I believe it is definitely front drivetrain harmonics causing this. I don’t believe it will be an out of balance motor as at 10000rpm+ (so way above the point where this vibration subsides), the whole vibration would just get worse and worse. The wheels and tyres are acting as rotary dampers...

    No to One Pedal driving

Yep ours does this. Also found today that we could engage OPD at 95% SoC on our X-Power (but that is with all modules and infotainment updated to the latest versions, so may make a difference)

CarPlay takes a while to sync

Unfortunately MG customer support is exceptionally poor (based on my own experience and many others on here) but here you go : [email protected] Worth reporting it to the dealer too but just don't expect a fix anytime soon - if the are happy to sell cars with a known defect (the...

CarPlay takes a while to sync

Unfortunately MG software problem - you have wait until the infotainment is fully booted before plugging in the phone in my experience or else what you describe happens. I find by the time I've finished turning off the 'safety' systems and switching on one pedal mode, it's about ready

How much you paid for a brand new MG4

    Locked out

^^^This - ours had every module updated and R59 installed a few weeks ago and definitely not a feature.

Any EV advice for my first long trip?

The burgers at Darts farm are exceptional (nearly 4 years with a Tesla means I may have sampled a few!)

    Anyone need brake pads yet?

Our Tesla at nearly 70k miles still had original discs & pads all round with plenty of meat on (and we generally didn't hang around in it) - in comparison our 22k mile Fiesta ST needs new front discs and pads this year. Regen braking really does have a big impact on brake life.

    New owner

If you are finding it an issue, kick up a stink with the dealer - they may like ours replace all the frankly dreadful OEM tyres with something decent, free of charge and this definitely improved the vibration for us (not to mention comfort & grip as well).

Welcome and hope you'll enjoy the car! Given the build date, any sign of the dreaded vibrations at 65mph?

Real World X Power mi/kWh Thread.

No not just you. I do try and resist but rarely can. It's always nice to see that car that was stuck to your bumper through the 30mph limit disappearing in your mirror as you pass the NSL sign....

Real World X Power mi/kWh Thread.

Keeping it brief:- Additional drive train loss due to the front motor (even when front motor isn't in use) Additional weight (circa 150kg AFAIK) Even the rated range of the LR Trophy (same battery and 'toys') is officially 16% better due to the above.

    Broken down - any ideas

We've decided to keep it for now - done 800 miles since the warranty repair and to be fair, it's been faultless since so hopefully it'll remain that way as we love the car and had spent a fair bit on it before it broke down (ceramic coating, frunk etc etc). By the time we factor in hiring a...
