Confirmed R33 is a bad un, I've had it for about 8 wees now. It also re-enabled the Lane Keeping by default every time I started my vehicle. If I forget to turn it off when I get in, it randomly swerves for no reason. It's a danger feature not a safety feature if you ask me.
I concur, the USB C port (the small one) is useless and is just for show.
It doesn't allow for connectivity to Android Auto / Apple CarPlay and it doesn't conform to current USB C charging standards so it won't charge anything newer than about 2021.
It's actually backed off to a bog standard USB...
Just ACC.
It wasn't doing it before R33. It would just chime and pop up a message saying something like 'vehicle in front has moved on, press switch of peddle to continue'
It is lovely to drive, I'll give you that. But I'm sticking to my guns about it being well annoying. Having to disable all the terrible safety systems before setting off is getting a little tedious, especially with the Bluetooth issue thrown in for good measure.
And has anyone noticed that...
Ah the chincy Chinese shitty software strikes again. Bluetooth has been garbage for weeks since I had R33 installed to fix the digital key issue. It didn't fix it, digital key still doesn't work. Also, I plugged it in yesterday using the granny charger and it didn't even charge overnight...
My Trophy is in the garage being looked at for 'no USB C' power. They've tried about 5 different cables and 10 different phones. Some charge, some do not.
Anyone else tried or had issues with the USB C poer (USB 2 below)
I've already been closely followed a few times in my Volcano Orange Trophy.
Just last month as I was going into a Mickey Dees a traffic interceptor type gave way for me to enter as it was exiting but, it decided to do a 180 and follow me round. It puled into a space just opposite the 3rd...
Agreed, my wireless charger at home keeps the device topped up even while the screen is on and I'm using it.
However, the wireless charging shelf on my MG4 Trophy is barely sufficient to charge the device even when the screen is off and it's not being used for Android Auto.
*I use AAWireless...
opaque,
adjective: not able to be seen through; not transparent
It's kind of like looking through a plastic bag. Light comes through but you can't actually see anything.
Agreed... my dealer installed R33 to 'fix' my digital key issue. However, it didn't fix the digital key and it broke the Bluetooth. The head unit now constantly asks me to pair my phone which means I have duplicate devices paired and my AAWireless auto-start function don't work anymore.
I used these files MG4 Light Sensor (think I paid 99p) and I got Surface Scan to print and post em (5 prints for £15 +£5 p&p I think)
The opaque one looked and worked the best. Headlights hardly ever come on in the day now. At dusk and dawn it's a bit weird as they headlights can't make their...
I can confirm that the solid one printed in clear abs works a treat. All but bridges / underpasses and tunnels turn the lights on now.
I used an old credit card to get the original cover off. Will post a photo soon as I'm back from Bulgaria.
I agree. And I didn't have liability insurance. You can't get anywhere near the house without being recorded on twin 4k PTZ CCTV cameras though. It would be really easy to identify people who filled a claim. I'm just sadistic enough to find them, follow them and record rhem acting normally. Then...
Nope... No one's likely to complain where I live and the path that goes past the house is set back away from the road and normal pavement. Also, I pay £12 a month to rent the parking space from the council.
