My dashcam has a parking mode which gets triggered by movement, and then records for a minute. It would also record when the G-sensors or microphone notice an impact.

The downside is that when I’m parked up for a few days at home, or even a few hours at a busy place, the dashcam stops recording to protect the 12v battery. And I think even an impact won’t get the cam recording then.

This dashcam also has parking mode (I think), but since it is connected to the courtesy lights, it stops getting power when the car is off, so I understand that your dashcam is connected to the fuse box.

The dealership installed it, and later I had a professional install a secondary battery pack for the dashcam, so it has its own power supply (which charges while driving) but you are correct. You need one switched source to let the cam know the car is on, and one permanent source for the parking mode.

Please is there a video on how to install it? Is there any for UK cars that are Right hand drive?

Hi. I've been waiting for a RHD version of these to be produced and am yet to see any. The link you attached stating it is for RHD, is actually for a LHD. In fact on the 7th image in red text it says (doesn't fit right hand drive).

Still searching.

I have the AliExpress dashcam and I think it's pretty good. Does anyone know what's the maximum capacity SD card for the 4k variant. I think it might be 128, and I don't want to order a 256 if its not gonna work

Any news on this at all. I'm very interested but can't wait forever before I just buy a regular dashcam.

Sorry about the delay in replying. No, I have not been able to find a RHD version of that integrated type of dashcam for an MG4, or Mulan, as it seems to be called in China. It's surprising considering the size of the potential market and the possibility of creating a mirror image of the LHD version using 3D printing process. I am also considering purchasing a regular dashcam.
