An update on the increasing play on my loose steering column :)

Excellent bit of investigation. Have to love your description of folding yourself into a pretzel under the dash :ROFLMAO: been there many a time and that is a very apt description! Hahah

    Rubber Car Mats

My ZS came with some exotic paper floor mats  so i’ve been on the look out for options. This car is going to be the run around and with kid seats in the back I want something to take all weathers and muddy feet so rubber is my material of choice. I found a set of super cheap universal mats...

    Welcome! :)

Rear seat with a red line stating that the seat belts are not being used even when nobody is sitting in them- is this normal?

I’ll be trying to keep my rear belts plugged in as this has been bugging me too. I have child seats on the rear seats and they’ve actually been ok, but the rear centre seat appears to be red on the display all the time so I’ll be plugging it in.

    AC charging rate

I think this is one of the most important parts. In my opinion (I don’t know if this is officially the case), they should not be considered parking bays at all - they should be considered charging bays. If a cars not being charged then they shouldn’t be in the bay. It can be used as a parking...

Still not scheduled charging EO Home Smart.

I might be getting my EO Mini Smart Home installed next week ? In the mean time, I got the following response back from EO which sounds positive to me: "All our chargers that are sent out of the warehouse have been updated with the latest firmware to ensure any previous issues are fixed. As...

    Range

I had the fans on (level 2) for airflow - had the kids in the back. No aircon, but was in Eco mode yes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I was happy with the range achieved, and will continue to monitor, but not really driving it much at the moment - really want to though! I can tell I...

    Range

I’ve only had my car a short time, but I’ve yet to see the GOM claim anything near the 200+ range. When I collected the car it was full to the brim with electrons and the GOM said 160 miles. Subsequent full charges now have it reading 177 miles. I’ve brought lots of popcorn to see how this...

ZS- EV Floor mats and 5m 32amp cable - NOW SOLD

Are they the EV mats (with EV embroidered)? Very tempted by them, but would require posting as I'm quite a distance away. I was going to be taking a gamble with some generic rubber mats (as I like the idea of a single rubber mat spanning the width of the rear for the kids, but I could always do...

    Chrome Wind Deflectors

Found them available for £29.99 direct from Auto Clover :) Smoked / Black - £29.99 Chrome - £44.99 I like the idea of the wind deflectors in particular as I like to drive with the windows open a tad (unless I'm trying to eek out additional miles :ROFLMAO:) - these should allow me to do that...

Use of KERS (regenerative braking) on the MG ZS EV

I love the regen, always on 3 so far. I would love to be able to see some stats in the car on the effect regen has had on the journey though :geek: it would be great if the journey stats said something like 3 miles added regen or something, or even the power accumulated by regen.

    Chrome Wind Deflectors

Hi @Frank, I don't suppose you have a link or a name of the specific deflectors you went for? I really like the fact that yours extend all the way into the rear quarter, but the ones I've found so far are only 4pc (such as these).

    AC charging rate

That's very interesting - I've booked the EO Mini Pro for install so am hoping that by the time I get it timed charging is sorted (between the comfort update on the car and any potential updates on the unit itself). Just to clarify, what was it that was set to the wrong timezone, the car itself?

    Range Anxiety?

You have a Delorean!!!!!!! Absolute legend sir, one of my favourite cars of all time (behind the 1989-92 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM). Have any pics of it from the outside in all its glory? I got all excited recently when DMC started marketing what looked like it was going to be a...

    AC charging rate

To minimise any discrimination against Grannies I shall now refer to it as the "Not so fast" cable. Maybe the "Perfectly adequate" cable. Or even to make it sound extra special, the "Great Granny" cable ?

Exceeding speed limit flashing speed sign icon

I think I know why my symbol wasn't flashing at me now.... It was my first drive home with the car and I needed as much range as possible so was sticking to or below the speed limits :geek: I can confirm from more recent drives that my car also flashes the speed symbol when I exceed what the...

    AC charging rate

My dealer did tell us just before departing that the ZS was only capable of accepting 7KW max via AC - which piqued my interest as it’s not something that had come up in my research about the car to that point. It’s not an issue from my perspective as I’m only ever likely to be AC charging at...

Exceeding speed limit flashing speed sign icon

 Indeed. That’s quite bizarre! I just drove back from Frasers of Falkirk today too! Having just collected the car, I was up the A90 to Aberdeen though (grew up in Portgordon)

Exceeding speed limit flashing speed sign icon

Do you have the latest software updates? I experienced a stretch of road like this today and it prompted me, but didn’t flash. The speed sign image was at the top left and below it there was a yellow warning triangle ⚠️ which when viewed on the warning screen said that a temporary speed had been...

Deciding on which EV and MG ZS EV test drive experience

Felt like this would be a good closure post for this thread :) T Today was the big day! After ordering all that time ago in February, it took a bit longer than anticipated to eventually get the car for obvious reasons. The wait has come with it’s advantages though as it means my fresh experience...
