That's exactly what I'd heard said.
@DaveandTeena are right though, if they've used the granny and it's been switched off at the socket until hours (>10) later when it's been switched on, if it does charge then the car must be waking up?
I think a proper test is needed......
Unfortunately our car gets used every single day, otherwise I'd do a test of plugging it in and not trying to start a charge for over 24hours and see if it wakes up and takes the charge.
Oh I didn't realise, as you were new on the forum I just assumed the car was new.
In that case, as @rbpasapera said, your 161miles GOM will likely be because your battery State Of Health is no longer at 100%
I do not believe the temperature makes any difference to the GOM, it is purely based on WLTP / previous trip data.
I guess maybe the battery just didn’t fill up completely because it was cold...
The amount they’ve taken off the top buffer has been added (subtracted!) to the bottom buffer, so it seems to be the same amount of real SOC available to use.
We’ve done a few tests on the 455 & 450v BMS versions at full and run completely empty.
I’m not quite so sure the OTA updates are all what they imply.
I asked someone abroad who has the existing app functionality, they can do OTA updates but he said it is restricted to updating the infotainment system software & not to update any ECUs.
So I think we’ll have to wait to see what the...
That’s good to know. Was the car woke up at all in that 16 hour period, kind of like a keep-alive ping?
It had been quoted that the change to allow the car to wake up was restricted to a certain time frame.
I’ve never tested it accurately myself.
My Ohme charger I did notice the other day...
All weight affects efficiency.
Sorry I specifically meant in relation to the rotational mass off the wheel, I wonder if the effect of extra weight is exaggerated if it’s being rotated compared to just standing weight.
The Ohme isn’t that great for a car like ours that hasn’t got the ability to tell the charger what SOC etc it’s got, you have to come up with a bodge to get a simple scheduled charge.
Maybe I’m being daft here, but if going to use wheel covers (for aero performance I presume) why not use cheaper steel rims instead of alloys?
Does wheel weight affect efficiency?
