Upon speaking to the...
Another update so the vibration has finally been fixed turned out to be the drive shafts knackered it's a first for an mg5 apparently but after 6 months of turning heads I'm glad it's finally done
So an big update on this MG technical have come to their senses, that the stupid idea they recommend isn't safe so the dealer is replacing both drive shafts next week to see if that solves the problem. If not, I've been told that the whole gear box has to come out to be investigated. Dealer has...
Hi all
Just like to know how everyone's experience with mg customer service has been because I can quite say they have been shocking with us.
So as you know by previous post I have this excessive vibration through the cabin at 50mph which has been going on for a while and been messed around...
Just an update on this so I've taken it to a different garage and they have done a road test and identified there is an issue. They have re balanced the wheels and still vibrating so it's the car off the road and currently with mg technical . I'm just actually glad the fault has been found and...
Hi all posted on here a while back that I was having issues and still unfortunately unable to pin point the issue
When I get the car up to 50mph and stick my toe down the whole cabin vibrates (sounds daft but if my leg is up against the centre console you can see My whole leg wobble like jelly...

Yeah all 4 wheels unfortunately was peeling/cracking I did say I was happy with a refurb but mg just replace took some time but got there in the end and with the added bonus getting the upgraded ones I'm not moaning.
Now I feel I need my calipers painted as they show a bit more with these wheels
In terms of the wobbling the dealer said they couldn't really find an issue I felt it when I was at say 40mph then put my foot down to reach speeds of 50mph plus but since ive had the new wheels on i havent really felt it but will update as i do some more driving over the coming week. Tbh I did...

My alloys have been replaced but mg made a cock up and sent the factory upgrades by mistake and was told I could keep them so was a...
My mg5 had outer tyre wear on both fronts. Replaced them with kumho esta around 4k ago and been absolutely fine. Also had the tracking done was told it was a bit out but nothing major so adjusted for free.
Just heard that summit will no longer be selling new mg cars but shifting to used cars and will carry on as a main service provider for mg. Real shame as they are a brilliant little garage and always looked after me when visiting the service department. Be interesting to see what direction mg...
Hi all sorry for the delay in responding. Yes the dealer also thinks it's a oil wax substance I'm going to clean it all up the weekend and monitor the situation. In terms of the shaking decided not to do it on the test drive with the dealer so again been told to monitor the situation and see how...
