Hi all

Just like to know how everyone's experience with mg customer service has been because I can quite say they have been shocking with us.

So as you know by previous post I have this excessive vibration through the cabin at 50mph which has been going on for a while and been messed around quite a bit. Took it to a different dealer as the vibration is getting worse and they have confirmed there is a significant vibration and the car is now been deemed as off the road and not road worthy. So before they can go any further the garage suspects that I'll need a complete new drive shaft but still they remain in the dark wether this will fix the issue but before the dealer go ahead they have had mg technical involved who have asked the dealer to perform a 50mph test on a live ramp to replicate the issue.

Am I been stupid here but even my dealer said this is outrageous that they would like us to get the car rolling at 50mph in a garage clearly just asking for a serious health and safety accident waiting to happen. So it's currently in loggerheads now with having no car for over a week and a young family it's proving difficult. Dealer is doing all they can to get MG to provide a hire car as it's deemed unsafe to drive but the hostility I had and shitty agent attitude yesterday was poor just didn't seem bothered what so ever. So it looks like my finance company are also now involved.

MG customer service has been poor/terrible from the start of EV sales and still continues to this day.

My experience with my supplying dealer was abysmal, with not only the service but also the staff.

So bad, I swore never to darken the door of the dealership ever again.

Changed to a different dealer (same group) and I recieved quick, courteous, good old fashioned customer service like I hoped for.

Service done, problems fixed, courtesy car.
Quick and easy.

If you spend some time in the search function you will find many tales off woe.
I've picked out an early one for you down below.

On the flip side you will find folk delighted with the experience of dealer interaction with nothing to report.

Click on.....MG customer service is TERRIBLE!

.
P.S.If you have got all day, put 'Vibration' into the search function.

Seems all MG's can suffer as I know to my personal cost.

Two different issues here, the OP appears to be getting decent service from the dealer, but not MG whereas you had poor service from the dealer.

So an big update on this MG technical have come to their senses, that the stupid idea they recommend isn't safe so the dealer is replacing both drive shafts next week to see if that solves the problem. If not, I've been told that the whole gear box has to come out to be investigated. Dealer has been brilliant, can't fault them, and finally got a courtesy car from Monday.
