I had a silver MG5 and I did not like the black bar under the rear number plate so I removed it. I had some near match silver paint in my garage so I painted the the screws and replaced them. The 2 screws were hardly noticeable which in my opinion looked better.
I must agree with those comments my Kona is a dream to drive. I don't think I will be going back to MG. I'm not suggesting MG's are bad cars because they are not it is MG themselves they don't seem to care about their customers, it seems the dealerships are also getting frustrated with the lack...
Brave man kayaking in this cold, having said that I use to windsurf in my younger days when it has been snowing, now at 72 I like to keep warm. Good luck with your car purchase.
My friend has an niro EV and reckons my boot is bigger. My golf clubs and trolley fit in fine, perhaps it's the interior passenger space isn't so big but there are only 2 of us.
The MG5 was a bigger boot I think 475 litres where my Kona is 466 litres. The previous generation of Konas pre '24...
I sold my MG5 in November and bought a 1 year old Kona and the Kona is a huge improvement on everything including range, so if you do change to a Kona I don't think you will be disappointed.
I believe the heater did come on because I was getting 3.7 miles per kWh and it gradually dropped to 2.4. after the heater went on.
I must admit an hour of driving at reasonable speeds and the battery heater on I did expect more power comparing with other occasions when I haven't used the heater...
I understand all that however it was a test if the heater makes any appreciable difference which in my opinion it didn't. I was driving about 60 - 65 mph which I think is reasonable. When I put 79 kWh I missed out the p for pence. I have had the car over 3 years and I have a pretty good idea on...
2021 PFL has a manual battery heater which I tried out last year driving back from Scotland. So I left our hotel ambient temperature -1c and drove for an hour which consisted of about 70% motorway and put the battery heater on half an hour before my arrival at a Gridserve charger. I noticed my...
That's a shame about CPS. My trip to Scotland a couple of years ago was very easy using CPS and I am planning to go again but this news may change my plans.
What is happening re my MG warranty work?
Absolutely nothing Toomey's are still waiting to hear back from MG, pathetic state of affairs.
I have just got back from my holiday in Penzance and I must say the unmentionable I actually enjoyed driving my VW T- Cross petrol (on hire) with no worries...
Not exactly, I asked if it would be okay to drive to Penzance and back they said you may get away with it but they would not advise it in case it suddenly got worse and you are a long way from home. I took it home and have left it in my garage, it is not excessively loud yet.
Mileage is just...
MG Basildon have seen my car and heard the noise and believe it to be the reduction gears. I bought the car new from them and it has just had its 3rd service with them.
A week ago they informed MG about the problem but have not received any communication from MG about the next move which I...
I can report good news.
I had my MG5 2021 LR serviced yesterday plus MOT at Toomey's Basildon and they swapped my front wheels with the back ones free of charge. Service Including MOT cost £159.45.
Unfortunately they were unable to do a successful update to enable charging at Tesla chargers...
Yes I agree, so I contacted Glynn Hopkins in Chelmsford and they said that it shouldn't be a problem to change over the wheels however when I asked about my AA breakdown cover and would they give me another year cover? And as I did not buy my car from them they said they would find out and email...
Thanks for all your replies.
The tpms discrepancy doesn't bother me I can easily work that out. I was thinking whilst the car is up on the ramp it wouldn't be too much of a task for them to swap them. If they had said it will cost you extra I would have known where I stood but being told we...
